James POV
I woke up the next morning with some one shaking my arm. "James...James...wake up" I heard Kate's sweet voice. "Yea what is it Katie" I asked. "Tony and Ziva left. They got called in for a important mission. They left at 5 this morning". "How long will they be gone". "Until Thursday. So we have 4 days at home". "Really". "Yep. She said Abby would pop in on us every once and a while". Kate sat on my bed next to me and I kind freaked out a bit. "What is wrong James. You look nervous". "The only thing I am wearing is my cologne right now" I said embarrassed. "Huh...oh..." She said getting up. Kate look at me and started to smile. "I am glade I didn't climb under the covers like I wanted to or I would have been glowing more red than a stoplight". She giggled at walked out and I got up and put on my boxers, some jeans, and a white t-shirt. I walked into the kitchen and saw Kate standing in front of the stove cooking. "So what do you want to do over the next four days" she asked. "I do not know. My birthday is tomorrow though" I said. "Really. So you will be seventeen tomorrow". "Yep". "Well that's great" she said excitedly then she kissed my cheek. Kate cooked us breakfast and we ate out on the patio. I scooted closer to Kate on the love seat and I saw her smile out of the corner of my eye. "So did you sleep well?" I asked. "It was a little cold in my room but besides that, yeah I guess I slept fine". "You guess...?" I asked nudging her shoulder. "Well...i kinda wanted you too sleep in my bed with me. You make me feel safe" she said shyly looked at her plate. I smiled and leaned over, I kissed her cheek. "I'm right here if you need me" I whispered in her ear. Kate blushed and pushed her food around her plate. "You make a great breakfast" I said putting my plate on the little table out side. Kate handed me hers and I sat it down then turned back to her. "What do you want to do today". "Let's just stay home and watch movies" I said picking her up from the couch and carrying her to the living room. Kate giggled at me as I swung her around. I sat her down on the couch and she smiled at me. "James...."
