Chapter Eighteen: Handling The Hospital.

"Sasha," He repeated, testing the name on his tongue. Then, he let out a heart-wrenching smirk, "Babydoll, you're confronting me because you're—"

"I'm not jea..." I trailed off sternly, shutting my eyes tightly, "That's not why I'm... why I don't want you—"

"Kailee, what are you hiding?" He asked, his voice suddenly laced with concern as he took a seat next to me, "What happened?"

"Do you like Sasha?" I asked, my eyes glued to the marshmallows aimlessly floating around in my cup.

He shook his head, "She made a move on me."

"And she never does that," I looked up at him, "I don't want you getting involved with her—I'm not being a clingy bitch—I'm being a precautious person."

"What?" He seemed puzzled, now putting his one arm on the back of the sofa, eyes watching me intently, "What did she do that made you wanna drink that night?"

"You need to watch the video—"

"Whoa, I didn't realize you were such a bad girl." He said jokingly, but there was an edge to his voice, maybe some discomfort?

I warily looked around, then switched on the TV, before pulling out my phone, "This is the proof you need."

"Are you part of a gang?"

"Watch the freaking video, Theo," I snapped, my voice fierce, "You'll understand."

He said nothing, but merely took the phone out of my hand, and pressed play. I had to pull through to pull my shaking hand back, and wait as Theo dubiously watched the video.

After about three minutes, the sound stopped, letting the black screen of my phone stare back at Theo.

"She's... Sasha is dealing drugs?" He asked in a harsh undertone, lips parting as he tried to make sense of it, "Oh my God, Kailee! How long have you known?"

"I walked in on a little dealing with her and... and Reyna at the bathroom on Friday night," I explained, my voice hoarse, "I told Lena, but she seemed doubtful, so we snuck into the school vents last night."

"And you recorded it?" He asked, "You can get in some serious trouble, you know that?"

"I know," I murmured, "But, I had to. Lena didn't believe me, and—and once I saw you with Sasha in the library, I knew I had to tell you. I couldn't lie!"

"Who said I wouldn't believe you?" He asked quietly, brow cocked in my direction as I shockingly looked at him, "Who said so, Kailee?"

"I—"

"Kails, Mum said she's gonna be late again," Klaus came rushing down the stairs, slowing down as though the tension had seeped through him, "I'm not interrupting something here, am I?"

"No," I breathed out, "Late again, huh?" I asked with a light chuckle, now shaking my head in disgust.

"We're gonna be alone tonight. Although, Dad needs me to bring something to the hospital." Klaus explained, now running a hand through his hair.

"I'll go," I offered, "I know you've got that big game later this week. Head for practice; I've got time to go to the hospital and back before dark."

"You sure? I—I mean, I can't let you—"

"I'll drive your sister there," Theo announced, now standing up as I tried to not gape at him, "You don't mind, do you, Kailee?"

"Um..." I trailed off, looking between the two, "I guess not?"
