Luke's POV

Kris's house is huge. After I picked up Cam, we drove up to the hills behind my house. All of the homes up here are spread far apart so they all have large backyards. Kris's parents must be wealthy if they can live in this mansion. We walked up to her door step, and I was awe-struck. Pillars held up the grand entrance to the front door. It was stunning.

"It always takes my breath away when I come over," Cam says, reading my mind.

I nod and ring the elaborate door bell that is next to the large mahogany door. A woman in her mid-fifties opens the door for us. She has the same caramel colored hair as Kris, tucked neatly away into a right bun. As she smiles a wide smile at us, welcoming us to her home.

"Hello Cam," she says to Cameron. "And you must be Luke," she says to me.

I nod my head as Cam says "Hey, Mrs. L." I follow Cameron into the house past a grand living room, large kitchen, and a hall filled with bedrooms. One door is slightly open, revealing lavender walls and a white dresser; it must be Kris's room. We reach a pair of glass French doors. Outside in the huge backyard, I spot a burning fire in a pit. As I get closer to the fire, I see all my new friends sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows and laughing at something someone said, probably Nat, she is our little comedian. Besides Kris, Laila, and Sam there is a boy I don't know, and two girls I also don't know.

"Hey Cam!" The guy I don't know says, "And you must be Luke." Why does everyone keep saying that?

"Hey Kyle!" Cam exclaim, and they go into an in depth hand shake of some sort.

Kris, who is sitting next to Natalie, hands me a marshmallow and stick. I sit down next to Nat when one of the girls I don't know slides in right next to me.

"If you burn the marshmallow, a bit, it's tastes delicious," Natalie whispers in my ear. Her warm breathe sends shivers down my spine. I can tell she is smiling one of her award winning smiles. When I turn to face her, our noses touch and our faces are in such a close proximity. Quickly, she turns away to talk to Kris.

"Hey, Luke," the girl next to me purrs, she smiles a flirtatious grin at me.

"Um, hi?" I say, but it comes out as a question.

"I'm Kayla, Kris's twin sister," she explains. "I'm the prettier and smarter twin." She inches closer to me until our shoulders are touching and she's practitly siting on my lap. She's pretty, caramel hair, blue-green eyes, lots of makeup, but Kris is more naturally pretty.

"She's also the slutty one," Kris pipes in. "Kayla goes to an all girls private school for genius, so she doesn't know how to behave with guys around." Natalie and Laila snicker and Kayla's embarrassment.

"I do too!" She exclaims, placing a hand on my upper thigh making things more uncomfortable.

"No, you don't," I say as I remove her hand from my leg. Nat, Kris, and I erupt into laughter.

"C'mon, Paris," she drags her nervous friend always with her as she storms away.

"Now that she's gone," Laila smiles. "Let's play truth or dare."

Slowly everyone agrees to play her favorite middle school game.

"I'll go first," Kyle chimes in. "Nat, truth or dare."

Natalie ponders on the question before answering with truth.

"Would you kiss Cameron right now?" Cam makes a face that makes me think he just at something sour.

"Oh god no!" Natalie shrieks. "He's practically my brother!" Cam nods in agreement.

"Okay, okay. Just making sure," Kyle says as he laughs with the rest of us.

"Sam, truth or dare," Natalie asks. Sam choses dare, and Nat dares him to run his hand through the fire.

"Laila, truth or dare," Sam asks, he looks a little nervous if I say so myself.

"Dare," Laila says.

"Woah," Natalie says. "You're

being brave today."

"I dare you to go on date with me tomorrow night," Sam says in one breath. It would have been hard to understand him because he was talking so fast.

"Yes!" Laila exclaims, breaking Sam's nerves. Sam smiles at Laila and they share this little moment. "Luke, truth or dare," Laila says.

Knowing she can't ask me out on a date, I say "Dare."

"Hmmmm," she thinks.

"I dare you to jump in the pool," a familiar voices says.

Boy crazy Kayla makes a reappearance.
