Today was the day of the mating games, it felt so strange going back,I was sick to the stomach, barely able to manage food.
Lucie was at my parents house and Austin and i had gotten time off work.

We packed  clothes inside our bags, Austin smirking at some of the items I pack ,

"I hope i'm the only one going to see this." He grins holding up a lacy night dress,

I snatch it from his hands and chuck it in the case, much to his amusement.

The two of us trail our bags into the car and say goodbye to my parents, who were still rather unsure around Austin after our awkward meeting the previous night where my parents scolded me for not being with my mate, but yet they had respect for him for helping bear their first grandchild.

The drive down to England is a long tiresome one where we will discuss anything to keep our minds from straying to the inevitable destination that we will soon reach,

A few hours later we arrive at our location, luckily for me its the same place we were last time so we didn't get too much lost, this time around in the competition we will be spectating so we get to stay in the separate suites detached from the building

When we arrive, much to my surprise we are greeted by my auntie who ushers us into the large building.

I stare out the window of our small room over to the fighting arena, this year brings an unfamiliar change as the whole place had been geared out with stands for audiences to watch.

To me it didn't make sense, how could fighting determine your mate? But I never questioned it.

Mate.

The word rang around in my head as my wolf began to stir, just across from this building was my mate.

It had been so long since I had seen him, long before my daughter was born.

It sent a pleasant shiver down my spine at the thought of seeing him again.

I clutched Austin's hand as he hauled out suitcases into the room.

He embraced me in a tight hug.

"I understand this must be difficult for you..." he whispered into my ear.

I wanted to scoff, difficult would be an understatement.

"But I promise to be here for you and Lucie whatever happens." He muttered, I knew it pained him to say that so I squeezed him harder and ran my fingers through his ginger hair.

I stared at my wedding ring .

This was my life now, no going back, right?

This was what I wanted. Wasn't it?

"What about what our mate wanted, he was made just for us, as I was made for you, and you toss us aside." Growls my wolf.

I try to ignore this as he pulls away from the embrace.

"Thank you, but you have not to fear. My love lies with you and you only." I proclaimed as I kissed his wedding ring on his finger.

He breathes out and gives me a dazzling smile.

I decide to hop in the shower and wash the journeys' grime from my body. Austin disappears to grab the last things from the taxi.

I spend time lathering my body in thick soap and singing to my favourite songs, when I appear from my shower, only wrapped in a towel, I wasn't expecting to see anyone.

Never mind my mate.

Aiden growls ferociously at me, his dirty clothes and long hair adds to his ruggedness and his body had muscled up 10 times from when I last saw him.
