It was 10:50PM , and I had been at the gate since 10:30PM. I was fixing the black and red striped shirt that had been tucked into my high waisted jeans, when I heard faint footsteps in coming toward me. Sebastian was walking my way, wearing a white shirt, black skinny jeans, and he had his jacket in his hand. "Pssst!! Hey!" He whisper yelled. I crossed my arms, and waited for him to get closer. "Where exactly are we going? Huh?" "You'll see. Now c'mon!"••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
After walking street to street, we finally came upon the back of a tall building. "Stairs or elevator?" I asked him, with a devilish grin. "Hmm, I'll take elevator please." I opened the door, and we ran inside. It wasn't an abandoned building, it was actually supposed to be rented out to my uncle. He never used it, though. We had soon gotten to an elevator, and we both got inside. I told him to close his eyes, and while he had done so, I pressed the 'roof' button. I always came here to find inspiration to draw, sketch, and simply to clear my head. The beautiful view is amazing, but the sky is what gets me. It is always changing. As we got to the roof, the elevator opened up in a room pod, for us to step out on. A sign read NO ENTRY UPON THIS POINT. Of Course, I opened the door to the roof anyway. He stepped out, and he was immediately in awe over what he was seeing. He couldn't take his eyes off of the view that had been bestowed upon him. "Woah." "I know, right? That's what I said." He went over to the ledge, and sat down. It was a thick, decent sized ledge, so there isn't any need to worry. I went over, and sat down, leaning up against a short column on the buildings' corner. He took two cans of a drink out of his jacket pocket, and threw one towards me. I caught it, and flipped it over to see the drink name. It was a can of strawberry fizzy water. "Thanks, I appreciate it." "No problem, I hope you like that flavor." I cracked it open, and tipped it back, pouring the contents down my throat. I gave him a thumbs up, and took out my Polaroid camera from my bag. Snapping a couple pictures, I look at him. I snapped a picture. It came out, and it had his silhouette, instead of his face and features. With the city lights behind him, it made the perfect picture. "Hey, does it make me look good?" He laughs, and smiles. I nod, standing up, and letting him see. Something about him, made me feel.. normal. "I look like a model!" He yells, doing a few poses here and there. I laugh, and sit down on the inside edge of the building. The top-gravel went between my fingers as I leaned my head against the cold metal of the building column. Breathing in the air, I sigh as I watched the passing of the midnight traffic. "So what do you do for fun?" I heard him question. "What do regular people do for fun, Sebastian?" Looking over towards him, he looks as if he was thinking very long and hard about the question I had fired back with. "Ummm... I'm not sure. I'm not exactly normal." He scratched the back of his neck, half grinning towards me. "In that case, I do a lot of sketching. Video games are fun; However, my favorite thing to do is code." He went wide-eyed. "Really? Code? Is that what you're here for?" I nodded, taking a sip of my strawberry water. "My uncle had me set on technology ever since I was still in diapers," I said exaggerating a small bit. Smiling, he began to speak, "Well, I love to write, and I love photography. My all time favorite thing to do though, is theatre. I've always been quite fond of huma- I mean, our theatre." He stuttered. I'm not exactly sure why, but he did. "So you're a fine-arts junky, eh? That's pretty impressive. Most guys come here for the video game design. It's nice to see something different, though. Well, someone." He didn't give a reply, but it was a silence of agreement. Standing up, I stretched. I pulled out my phone, and I checked the time. 12:12, almost time for the fireworks of clubs. "Hey, at 12:15, I want you to come over here to the edge with me. I want to show you something." I walk over to the edge, looking at the Lonsha Casino. "Why? Might I ask?" "Just do it." He walked over to me, having a somewhat suspicious demeanor. "Alright, now wh-" BOOM. He was so startled that he fell backward. Giggling, I turned back around to the top of the casino. As fireworks go off, he looks at them with the most excited eyes I've ever seen. "Pretty amazing, right? I found they did this the first week I came here." Still mesmerized, he turned to me. "Rad." He smiled, and watched the fireworks for the rest of the time.
