The big question (chapter 2)

It was a shocker when I found out Molly was pregnant and with Sherlock Holmes baby I was completely shocked. But Today Sherlock was acting weirder than normal I could tell he had to say something but I could not figure it out, he let Molly leave, and he did not even give her a kiss goodbye. Were they splitting up? They had been together ever since Sherlock found out she was pregnant and ever since Molly started working again Sherlock has been with Hamish.

"How did you...How do you .......How do....you ask someone to marry you?"

My mouth dropped like when I asked Sherlock to be my best man or like when I told him we were naming our baby after him.

"John...You're right that is weird."

"....you want.... to ask..."

"Molly to marry me, yes, now how do I do this?"

"....Well find a romantic restraint like I did or some romantic place or do it at a place she loves or a place that she went to when she was young .... I don't know I have only done it once."

"But your a romantic, you should know how to do these things."

"But I don't ...ask Mary!!!"

"NO!"

"Why?"

"Because girls talk and this is something I didn't want Molly to know, not till I can ask her."

"Are you kidding me, Mary loves you and Molly but she won't tell her. Not a secret that big."

"You really think I should ask her?"

Mary walks in the room

"Where's Hamish and Molly and ask who what?"

"Well Sherlock has something he wants to ask you."

"...Molly and Hamish are back at the flat and.....I would like to know how do I propose to Molly ?"

Mary's reaction was a lot different she squealed jumped up once and punched Sherlock in the arm and Sherlock did not know how to react to this one, he thought he did something wrong.

"You want to marry Molly this is wonderful (her eyes got big as an idea popped into her head)... you should take her to the USA for vacation and go see the sites I will watch Hamish for you she will-"

"NO! I don't travel I hate traveling"

"Sherlock Holmes are you saying the incredible consulting detective is to above going on a plane to ask your wife to marry you?"

"No but planes are dangerous and you have a consulting detective that a lot of criminals hate and would love to kill the famous Sherlock Holmes and the people he love......she is my girlfriend not wife yet"

I sat back knowing my wife would get no where with him for I had tried a couple years ago

"The planes are dangerous thing is ridiculous Sherlock and you know it cars are dangerous and cars are cabs are and for fuck sake you are a C o n s u l t i n g. D e t e c t i v e  You and the people you love are always in danger."

"Yes but I put my own life on the line when I work no one is putting me in those situations just me a air plane is a much different place I have no control over it and I don't want to leave my family unprotected.

Ok I have had enough

"I had enough of your bull shit Sherlock I can protect miss Hudson"

"She was not who I was talking about I was taking about you, Marry, Hamish, William I promised I would be their for you and I mean it I will protect you guys till the day I die. I love you guys and care about you."

After the flat went quite Mary hugged Sherlock and she went to take care of William and Sherlock and I stayed and chatted a little then Sherlock left.
