Kiyiya's POV
"Stone, Acacia, you will come with me on a sighting patrol near the border line we set West of here. Rouge, Crystal, Pond, and Leaf, you will go on a hunting patrol Southeast of camp. Birch, Jay, and Hound, you will be in a sighting patrol, go North." I watch as they split into their groups. I pad down and join Stone and Acacia. We start walking in the direction where most wolves we find are. We look around and sniff for any sent. We don't see or smell anything except prey, so we hunt. We go separate ways and return later with our catches. Except, Stone hadn't caught anything, he found a pup. The pup was white with grey speckles and brown eyes. I nod and we return with our prey and the new recruit, who had a squirrel. Everyone was back and we all put prey we caught into the prey hole. Evening is starting to set in. I think. I pad over to the Leader Rock, A hangover small in size. I howl my Ceremony Call for everyone to hurry over. "Everyone, today we found a pup at the edge of the forest. He was across the West Pack borderline, most likely an outcast. Pup, step forward." I explain, before giving a small command. The new found pup pads forward. "From this day forward, your name is Marble." I tell him. "Tonight, we will feast in celebration, as we have our first recruited pup!" The pack howls happily for little Marble. He stands a bit taller as well. I leap down from Leader Rock, as does he slowly. He looks at everyone, prancing around gleefully. I lay down inside of my den, watching him contently, as if he were my own. Stone comes by, carrying in his jaws a squirrel we had caught earlier. He lays beside me and drops the squirrel beside me. I nod at him. "Thank you." I tell him as I bite into the prey. The fur is short, but the squirrel itself is juicy and rich. I finish half of it before nuzzling the carcass over to him. He takes it and eats the rest. I then had into my den, curling up to sleep, ready for the day tomorrow.
