It's so warm, Kitsune smiled, keeping her eyes shut tight as the warmth crept through her entire body, soothing all the pain she carried with her. It's so... pleasant; her eyes opened slowly, the light glimmering against her bright red eyes.
The room was empty, a white floor beneath her and no walls anywhere, a slight breeze ruffling her snow white hair as it crept past. Kitsune's hand rose, brushing the hair away from her eyes and tucking it behind her ear, taking a quick looking around the room and settling her eyes on a blurry figure in front of her.
"Hello again," The figure greeted her, the voice sounding so familiar... "You probably don't recognize me like this," The figure continued to form, a small white haired girl appearing before Kitsune.
"... I'm sorry," Kitsune gave an apologetic smile, "Who are you?" The girl giggled, holding a hand in front of her mouth as she did then grasping her hands together behind her back and rocking on her heels.
"I'm you!" She smiled, briefly stopping her heel-rocking. "But last time we met I was covered in darkness," The smile faded, her eyes brimmed with sadness. "It was much better then, huh."
"No," Kitsune answered, mimicking the bright smile that the girl had been giving her. "I... I like it this way."
"... Do you know where you are?" She asked, motioning for Kitsune to look around the room once more.
"No, but... it's warm... comfortable..." Kitsunes' hand moved to her face, grasping her mouth tightly to stop the gasp working its way up her throat. "A-am I..." She swallowed, removing her hand from her mouth. "Am I dead?"
"Something like that," The girl sighed, moving one hand from behind her to her hip, leaning off to the side and observing Kitsune. "Do you wanna see?" Kitsune nodded silently, watching the younger version of her move to the side, taking a step to view the screen before her.
"What..."
-
"...Is that?" Kiba could only stare at the monster before him, a strange feeling of familiarity washing over him as he gazed at the nine pure-white tails lash to and fro, sending a message to all creatures around it that it meant business.
"Is it the Kyuubi?" Shino inquired from beside him, his sunglasses and insanely high coat collar hiding any facial expressions he might have had.
"No..." Naruto breathed, his hand closing in on his stomach and scrunching up the fabric tightly. "He's still in here."
"Then... who's... what is that?" The group watched in horror as the monster turned to them, its blood red eyes laced with anger. Its paw rose, the dark black claws extended outward, turning to approach the group menacingly.
"We have to move," Kakashi yelled, waving his hand above his head and motioning for the rest of the group to follow him.
"Kiba!" Naruto shouted, seeing Kiba staring at the beast in awe. "Kiba, let's go!"
"Y-yeah," Kiba breathed, following Naruto away from the beast.

The scenery would have been beautiful from where Kitsune was standing, if it wasn't her that was trampling trees like ants and hungering for the blood of the Shinobi below. Kitsune turned to her former self, her hands shaking furiously as they clasped together against her chest.
"Wh-why am I doing this?" She stammered, fighting the knot in her throat that threatened to break her voice.
"You know that black haired boy?" Little Kitsune pointed towards the 'windows', "He got ahold of something that released the Nine-Tailed beasts genetics inside you." She shrugged, looking around aimlessly for a second before plopping down on the white flooring. "Now we just wait!"
"Wait for what...?" Kitsune inquired, taking a step towards the windows and glancing around the area, seeing the figures of her comrades moving swiftly away from her.
"Until the fox takes over," The girl replied solemnly, placing her palms behind her and leaning back. "Soon, I'll disappear, and then you will shortly after. It's the fox ridding itself of us... and there's not much we can do other than enjoy the scenery while it lasts."
"But... but there has to be a reason we didn't just disappear in the first place," Kitsune mumbled, making out the figures of Kiba and Akamaru. "There's a reason for us being here."
"Sure, but why does it matter?" She rolled her eyes, leaning forward and placing her hands in her lap.
"We might still have a chance," Kitsune turned, holding out her hands in a desperate attempt to get her former self to agree.
"Not really," She shot Kitsune down instantly, holding out one of her hands and turning it over. "You see?" Part of her hands had begun to materialize, the pale flesh completely disappearing as she turned it again. "I'm almost gone..."

"Agh" Kiba stumbled to the ground as a whole tree shot past him, the ear-shattering howl of the fox behind him forcing him to cover his ears. "We can't outrun it...!" He looked ahead, seeing the figure of his beloved dog lying on the forest floor. "Akamaru..."
"Kiba! Akamaru!" Naruto shouted, popping into the clearing and rushing to Akamaru's side. "Kiba, come on! We can'-t" His screams were cut off by another howl, all hands traveling to their ears to stop it from blowing their ears out.
"Damnit!" Kiba's fist pounded against the ground, a drop of blood falling from his hand as he lifted it. "What do I do...?!" He briefly registered another shout from Naruto before looking up, the gleam of the monster fox's teeth wrapping themselves around him and snapping shut.
