2 Years Later ...

MINYOUNG'S POV

"Miss Elle, can we go now?" a student of mine called as she and the rest of the class awaited their dismissal.

"Of course. Thank you guys for today. Enjoy your weekend." I said as they left.

I was subbing for their teacher for the past year and a half.

It had been 2 years since I returned back from Korea.

From him.

I packed up my things and waited for the bus outside the school.

I walked unto the bus and sat down next to a couple of school girls.

They were on a tablet watching an episode.

I glanced over and that's when I recognized that face that the girls were getting excited over.

Lay's.

I smiled, knowing he was happy.

I focused my eyes unto something else and that is when my phone rang.

I looked at the caller id.

An international number?

I answered the call.

"Hello, Elle speaking." I answered in English

"MinYoung-ah? Is that you?" a familiar voice asked in Chinese.

"Yes." I answered, but paused trying to figure out who it was on the other end of the line.

I thought real hard and that's when it hit me.

"Luhan-oppa?" I asked, hesitantly.

"Yes. I thought you would have forgotten about me." he joked.

"How could I forget my best friend living in Korea?" I joked back.

"Anyway, I'm calling because it's Lay's birthday this week and because we couldn't celebrate last year, we've decided to celebrate it this year." he said in one whole breath.

I giggled.

Of course, how could I ever forget his birthday? I even had a present ready to send to him.

"And?" I questioned.

"We were wondering if you could come." he said.

I was thinking and I didn't know if I was ready to see him.

Why not, though right?

Lay has been my best friends for years.

"Sure. When and where is the whole shindig?" I asked.

He paused.

"We're actually closer than you think."

And he hung up.

I gestured for the bus driver to stop at the next stop and that's when it hit me.

What the hell were they doing here?!

LUHAN'S POV

"Ge, how long til we get there?" Xiumin asked our manager while clinging desperately on Kris' arm.

"Not too long. We should be landing pretty soon." he replied back.

Upon hearing that, Xiumin gripped harder unto Kris' arm, making him groan meaning making the rest of us laugh.

I looked out the window and took in the view.

We landed and got off the plane.

We managed to fly back to China for Lay's birthday but we had to lie to Lay saying we had a scheduled event here.
