I'm in a dark area, nothing around me till I see him walking away from me. I reached my arm out. "Wait!" Calling out, trying to reach him, but he keeps walking away. "Wait!"
I ran by a women dressing in white. "He's not real Jade." I stopped, turning to face her. "He's not real." Her blue eyes were piercing.
I wake up in a white room, straped to a chair. They've been messing with our minds for so long now. Why? My voice shook as I spoke. "S-stop messing with our m-memories, stop making me f-forget."
The women was standing in front of me. "Forget what Jade?"
I glared up at her. "You fully know what. The only thing left is him that I see now, I won't forget him EVER." I struggled forward in my chair. "SO STOP WASTING MY TIME! I will never forget him!"
She smirked, seeming to be having fun again with pissing me off. "He isn't real."
"SHUT UP!" I whipped my head down. "He is apart of me! I can't forget him! Stop. You're only wasting your time with this. You've taken everything already, don't take him!" My tears starting falling, hitting the tile flooring. "Don't take him from me. P-please."
She nodded up to the men. "Take her back to the others."
They had sedated me, dragging me by my arms, tossing me onto my bed. The rooms were very tiny, only enough room for a single bed, a sink, and a toilet, the walls were green, except the wall with the door, it was glass, they lock us in at night, but rest of the day its open.
After the drug started to leave, my toe wiggled, then finally, after able to move more body parts, I got up and dragged myself into the hallway, leaning against the wall. I hate this place. I turned right, making my way to an opening, to the small eating area, there was 7 of us here. We don't even know why or how we even got here. We don't remember now, none of us do.
I sat down, looking around at the others chatting quietly, this was a quiet place as it is. We get served food yes, as the soldier place a food tray infront of me, but we get crap food, I unwrapped the tray of oatmeal, an orange and water.
One of the guys sitting infront of me glanced up, we all looked so miserable, you would be to if you were slowly losing your memory and know its happening because of an organization too. "Jade, have you lost him yet?" He asked, we try to help one another remember, but its getting harder now to remember anything.
I shook my head, "No. I never could lose him anyways." I shrugged. "I don't even know why I'm fraising it that way?" I glanced up. "Have you forgetten your brother yet, Luka?"
He shook his head. "No, but I think next time I will. I only remembered him now because you said something." He smiled. "Thank you."
I leaned back, sighing while playing with my fork on the table. "We can't even remember how we got here?" I leaned over the table. "And if there was any others here too?"
He nodded, shrugging. "Well probably. We can't be the only ones, they probably forgotten everything, even their names, and were taken." He leaned foward as well, whispering. "I believe they're erasing our entire personality and memory in order to create something else out of us."
I whispered, asking. "What are you thinking Luka? Into what?"
"Into assassins maybe? Maybe turning us into weapons? Expirements? All I know is, I remember a name."
I was confused. "A name?"
He nodded. "Yes, a name. A name that I don't remember from the outside world, but from in here. Danica."
I thought it over, looking away. "Danica?"
"Now, we all know that you've been here the longest, more than anyone they had too." I glanced back to him, not remembering that part. "And yet you still are fighitng so hard and I know you've probably forgotten those before us, and one day, I know you will forget me." He smiled. "So hopefully our instincts won't forget each other."
I smirked. "I will try not to. I will keep fighting."
He nodded. "Good, fight and never forget. Continue fighting, for us, because we will forget." He started tearing up, so started wiping the tears away. "Sorry, I get emotional."
I chuckled, tearing up myself. "Stop it, when you do that I'll get emotional. Yes, yes, I'll fight for all of us, just stop it now."
The buzzer went off and it was time to close up for the night. He got up, "Well, I hope to remember you tomorrow." He smiled and walked off. "Night then, Jade."
I smiled, watching him walk off. "Night, Luka." I stared down at the table. "Danica."
That night I was laying in bed, on my back, staring up to the ceiling, I glanced to the wall next to me. Fighting for everyone huh? I had a restless night, couldn't sleep for the life of me.
In the morning, they forced me back into that chair, glaring at the women showing up again. She smirked at me. "You ready, Jade?"
I smirked. "As I'll ever be. Bring it-" I shot up in pain from the headset; that they stuck on me, shocked me into my own mind.
I opened my eyes to darkness and once again, started to walk then sprinted into a run. I must get to him before its too late.
It was the same ending as last time, and I was back in the cafeteria, I glanced up, but no one was there, I felt like someone should've been there. I watched the 4 others eating quietly, I still couldn't clue in though, what was missing?
The door open to 4 new kids coming in, they all were confused and sat down as guards placed trays of food in front of them. A young boy and an even younger girl sat in front of me. The blonde boy glanced over to me with brown eyes and whispered. "Hey, do you know what this place is?"
I wasn't thinking of answering, but then I realized they were scared, we all were. "We... We don't know ourselves, sorry. But here we tell each other what me remember. They call it the wiping stage. Here is where they will take your memories away from you. So I'll tell you about what I remember, and you guys tell me what you remember so each day we will fight to keep our memories. Okay?"
The little girl started breathing quickly and heavy. "W-what's going to happen to us? Why are they doing this?" Her hazel eyes teared up. "I want to go home."
I sighed. "We all do. If we even had a home." She stared up at me even more worried, but all I knew was the boy I've been chasing, I don't know how I even came to be, and I think that goes for the rest of us. Who are we?
