I woke the next morning, not to the terrible memory I usually do, but to the sound of pots banging around in the kitchen. Sure enough, when I looked at my alarm clock, it was 6:30 in the morning. How good it felt to sleep in. The memories of the night before rushed through my head. I smiled at the thought of seeing her today. I knew that I would have work to do and that would take priority, but I knew I had to allot time for my mate. I knew one thing that I had to do today, take Skylar to see her parents.

I quickly got changed into a pair of jeans and a light blue shirt, not taking the time to put on shoes or brush my hair. Leaving my room, I rushed down the stairs only to run into an excited Skylar.

"Well hello there," I spoke, not expecting her to be awake, much less running amuck through the house.

"Hi," she responded, her mind clearly in a frenzy of different thoughts. "I didn't mean to wake you up." I could tell that she was internally laughing at my bed head.

"You didn't wake me," I responded in a reassuring tone.

She nodded, a questioning look on her soft features. "The noises of the oh so wonderful kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, let's go get breakfast before we have none." she giggled as I finished. I was hoping I could tell her what I had in store for her today. I reached for her hand, hoping we could walk together. I had yet to speak to her about luna duties.

We walked in, to see a dozen platters on the long cedarwood table. "Good morning you two!" called Sarah-Catherine, the head chef.

"I have a surprise for you Hazel," I whispered in her ear. She nodded in response and walked away to sit down at the table. I honestly expected a better response, as did Carter.

"I thought we established that my name is Skylar, not Hazel," she said as she sat down to eat. Mary, the youngest chef, rang the bell that symbolized that the pack members could enter, and everyone slowly trickled in.

"And I thought we established my nickname for you is Hazel as well," I responded, to my excitement, she blushed, although she did roll her eyes. We ate the amazing breakfast with the pack and chatted, I could tell that Skylar was uncomfortable.

After breakfast, I walked up to Skylar. "Can we talk outside please?" I asked, hoping she wasn't busy. She nodded, and followed me as I walked out the back door.

"So about that surprise," I started, scratching the back of my neck nervously. "I want to take you to see it later, but I can't tell you what it is yet." I finished, hoping she wouldn't be mad. Her eyes widened, excitement claiming her features. "I'll pick you up at 11:30 from your room. I would love to spend time with you right now, but I have things to do." I said, kissing her cheek and going back inside.

I opened the door to my office, hoping I wouldn't have to spend a long time doing paperwork. I ran my fingers through my messy hair as I sat down at my wooden desk.

"Where the hell are you Ashton!?" Dylan mind-linked me. Crap, I forgot about the meeting with the neighboring pack. "Tell them I'm sick. I have something big to do." I replied. I knew he would be annoyed. "Okay sir" he responded back after a minute.

Four hours later, I had finished all the paperwork I had. I knew I had still had thirty minutes left, so I decided just to relax in my office. I could tell that it was a full moon, for Carter was extremely excited. He was constantly whining, wanting to be in control.

"Let me be in control Ashton, please!" he whined.

"I will if it seems fit Carter, I promise." I responded, for on a full moon you never want to upset your wolf.
