Rick stops the truck in the middle of the woods. You two have been driving for about three hours, at least you think, meaning that you are at least 100 miles away from the house. Also, that means you are 100 miles away from Jessica. Although this makes you a little uneasy, you are with Rick, which makes everything a lot better.

You step out of the truck and step out onto the moist ground and see nothing but forest. A little opening in the trees catches your eyes. Rick moves in the corner of your eye. You look at him and see he's smiling at you.

"What?" you blush

Rick steps forward and grabs your hand, "You are just so beautiful."

You smile and blush harder but then walk forward with him towards the opening. You two walk in silence through the woods for a couple minutes before stumbling before a shack. The wooden stable seems to be what has brought you here so both you and Rick fall forward. As you two approach the cabin, he rushes in front and opens the door for you.

"Thank you, Sir." You smile and step in.

There's a queen sized bed in the far left corner adjacent to a small night stand. On the ground by the foot of the bed rests a small chest. A sky light along with a window above the bed lets in massive amounts of light. You look at Rick mesmerized. He smiles and lets you go to investigate. You look up at the sky light, which has a perfect view of the afternoon sun. You smile and set your wool bag onto the chest. Rick comes over and sets his  weapons belt onto the night stand. You look down and see that you forgot your knife on the floor.

Panic strikes and you turn white. Rick seems to notice because he walks over to the chest beside you.

"Open it." He demands.

You comply and see that there is an abundance of guns, ammo, and knives. The restlessness leaves in one big sigh and relief flows over you. You look at Rick and smiles. He smiles back and flops down onto the bed. He puts one hand under his head and pats the bed next to him. You bite your lip uncertain of what to do. Should you? You just met the guy a couple nights ago and now he wants you to join him in a bed in the middle of no where. Not that its totally a bad thing. He is cute and extremely attractive.

"I promise, I wont try anything." Rick says and pats the bed again.

Following him, you flop on the bed like a seal. He laughs, leans over you and smiles into your eyes. His crystal blue ones melt you and you smile back feeling like a queen. For about a minute you and Rick stare into each other. Everything is falling into place, you seem to be in love. In love? Is this even possible in the apocalypse?

A loud bang interrupts you two. Rick jumps up and you sit up and look out the window. Blood covers the glass. In the distance you can see a Walker strutting towards the way you came from. You look at Rick who's strapping his belt back on. You look at the chest and spring right of bed. Grabbing the wool bag, you open the chest and grasp a long spey blade. Following Rick, you run outside. Immediately, you are greeted by a dead person growling in your face. You stab it in the back and move onto the next.

With each kill, you feel secure and mature. Being around Rick has opened you up compared to pre-apocalyptic times. Things might never be what they use to, and you realize that. Yes it will get easier, and you strive for that to help raise Jessica. It isn't fair that you got to grow up in a normal society where people don't eat each other. It isn't fair that Jessie might never know what love is, she may not know what it feels like to get kissed or even a simple crush.

When you finally realize that all the Walkers are dead, you look for Rick. To the left and to the right but you don't see him. He isn't anywhere in sight.

"Rick?" you call.

no response.

"Rick? Seriously, this isn't funny!" You yell.

Stress is present in your tone. Rick couldn't have gotten bitten. No, you were right here, you would have heard him. You run into the cabin panicking. He isn't there either. Then you run around the forest line, with no prevail. Faith is slowly trickling from you and its getting dark. You fall to the ground and start to tear up. He can't be gone, he just can't be.
