Lana's POV
As soon as I step through the school doors I am bombarded by Hannah and Lizzie.
"Oh my god! Lana have you seen the posts on Instagram?" Lizzie squeals excitedly.
"Um....no, should I?" I replied, unsure of why she was so excited. Then again, Lizzie has always been one for gossip.
"No, Lizzie is just obsessing over some random guy who just moved to Lynndale," Hannah intervenes, clearly disinterested in this conversation.
"HANNAH! How dare you! Have you seen the pictures? He is fucking hot!" Lizzie exclaims causing some heads to turn our way in the hall. I am seriously worried about this girl, she needs to calm down before Chelsea decides to come and grill me once again.
"Liz, you know I have no interest in dating after what happened with Jason," I say, suddenly feeling a twinge of sadness in my heart. Jason Evergreen was my boyfriend 2 years ago. I was only 15 at the time so I thought once you get that fluttery feeling in your stomach for someone it's true love and you would be together forever. Oh, how I wish life was as simple as that.
Jason and I had been dating for 5 months when I found him, mid-sex with my best friend Chelsea Barnes. Yeah, that was a big blow. After that I locked myself in my room for weeks. Only coming out to use the bathroom or get something to eat. As soon as I came back to school I found Chelsea with Jennifer and Charlotte, who I guessed were her newly found 'minions'. Since then Chelsea has come up with new ways in which to torment me. To top that off, I found out that Jason only dated me to try and get in my pants. I told him on numerous occasions that I wasn't ready but it didn't matter. It was all a dare, courtesy of his football buddies.
After that I vowed to never get close to a guy again since they are only going to break your heart and they're not worth the pain. Lizzie however, continues to go on about how I should get back into the world of dating. Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
"No Lizzie, I don't even know the dude and even if I did I still wouldn't go out with him so drop it."
Lizzie finally stops harassing me about this new boy business and sulks all the way to math.
"Ugh! Why do we even have math? It's not like we're ever going to use it in our lives," Hannah starts, "honestly, I wish you could drop it and study something else instead."
"What a mood," I say, not even hiding the fact that I'd rather be anywhere else when Mr Harris walks in.
"Hello class, today it appears we have a new student, please welcome Alex Ryder."
"OMG THAT'S HIM!" Lizzie whisper-shouts at me.
Oh no, you have got to be shitting me. There is no way in hell that Liz is going to shut up about him now. She was right though, he is kinda hot. Not that I'm interested or anything. Hannah and I groan simultaneously as we both know how much Liz will talk about him now.
"Settle down class," Mr Harris says in an attempt to calm the class down. The girls are batting their eyelashes, shooting him suggestive winks already, eyeing up their new boy toy. I swear, those sluts are so desperate, it disgusts me.
As Alex proceeds to find himself a seat, he happens to decide to choose the one directly behind me. Great, just fucking great. Just to make matters worse he decides to continuously poke me in the back of the head.
Turning around I say, "What the fuck do you want?"
"Do you have a pen?" He asks, the smirk evident on his face.
"Get your own damn pen," I say, swiftly turning back around in my chair to face the board once again.
"Ooh, feisty! Are you from Tennessee? Because you're the only ten I see," he says, flashing a wink.
