Cisco's apartment was quiet and no one was there besides him. A bowl of cereal sat in front of him but he made no move to eat it. The cereal was getting soggy, Cisco stared at it though without a care in the world. He was fidgeting with his hands that wouldn't stop shaking. Only a few hours ago, his girlfriend had stopped breathing but was revived. He was forced to go home by Barry and Caitlin at five in the morning. Leaving the lab scared him, he thought if he even stepped foot out of the building, she will stop breathing again. It's now 10 and he so badly wanted to go back but he knew he would only get kicked out and sent back home.

He ditched the bowl of cereal on the table and fell onto the couch. He covered himself with his blanket then let it all go. The tears flowed freely and his chest racked with sobs. The way he was feeling physically hurt his chest. Emma was his rock, he couldn't live without her. Without her, he wouldn't know what love felt like. He knows he's in love with her, just never told her. It was only a few months ago before everything went down when he realized he was in love with her.

It was a nice, warm day. Emma dragged all her friends out to the park where she laid out a nice picnic. Despite the coldness, she made a fire for everyone to stay warm. The first people to arrive was her brother and her brothers best friend's, Barry and Cisco. They greeted her with food they happily made for the picnic.

"Hey, Em, we made some sandwiches and salads that have tomatoes and all the stuff everyone likes." Barry smiled at the blonde who returned the gesture and took the basket from his hands.

"Thanks, you guys." Emma seemed to stare longer at Cisco when her eyes fell upon his and he could feel his heart skip a beat. "The fire is just kicking off. It would be real nice if Barry and Stiles could go get more wood in my car."

Stiles rolled his eyes playfully, "Sure, sis, we will do it all."

"Oh hush," the two left the blonde and Cisco alone and she turned to him with an even bigger smile. "Wanna go help me set the blankets down?"

"Sure."

As Emma set the basket near a log where some would sit, she grabbed the blankets off of another log and handed one to Cisco. They worked quietly but Emma despised the silence so she began to speak. "How've you been?"

"I've been great. You?"

"Pretty good. I made a new friend at work. He's new and he has one thing I have always wanted in a guy."

Cisco felt his heart break little, but he covered it up and replied, "And what's that?"

"He's gaaaay." she sang a little when she said 'gay' and Cisco laughed, not entirely because of her funny action, but mostly out of relief. "I've always wanted a gay best friend."

"Well, there ya go." she laughed and nodded.

"I can finally take someone shopping and not have them complain."

Cisco smiled, "I wouldn't have."

"Oh really? You say that now. Last time I went shopping, I went for five hours."

"Five hours? Damn, girl." Emma giggled, standing up straight done with putting the blankets down and turned to Cisco.

"Yeah, it was very fun though only things I got were a bath bomb and two pairs of shoes that were expensive as hell." the two laughed together. Upon hearing Emma's laugh, Cisco's stomach erupted with butterflies and he gulped down the words he wanted to confess. "Where is Barry and Stiles? They are taking forever to get the wood."

"Yeah, maybe they're screwing each other." the two laughed once again but much harder this time and Emma playfully punched his arm causing him to fake cry. Just then, the other two boys emerged from the woods with each carrying a stack of sticks and big smiles on their faces.
