[Dazai Dark Age timeline]

A week had passed since the Opium incident, and now with her wounds decently healed, Tomie had enough energy to go to school to go through the exams.

The girl, after making sure to pack her books and pencil case, went out from her neat and tidied bedroom to go down the stairs and saw her mother cooking breakfast for her, her mother was wearing a lovely apron as she cooks, facing away from the dinner table where Tomie sat down to review the materials for today's tests... when Tomie then saw that there were two empty chairs beside hers... one of her mother, and the other one is of...

"Is dad busy again?" asked Tomie, taking her focus off the book and to the opposite chair, absent of her father's presence.

Her mother nods, though without taking her eyes off her cooking "Your father is working on another case" she said before giving a sigh "you know how this city is with its endless problems and criminals..."

Tomie giggles, though sounding a bit insincere... she knows about that all too well as she recollects what had happened merely seven days ago. Noticing this, Tomie's mother wouldn't have any of it, she had finished up cooking and laid down a plate of scrumptious looking sunny side eggs, some sausages, a salad and a bowl of rice.

"A hearty energy supply before your exams~!" said her mother, puffing up her chest.

Tomie smiles happily at her mother's simple, yet tasty breakfast menu, she took the chopstick off the table before digging in happily, her mother proudly and gleefully humming as she eats along with her precious little angel.

If one would ask her 'what her favorite subject is' she would often say things like math where she can feel the excitement of finding out it's answers, biology where she would understand more of things that are alive, English where she learns the mainstream language and even home economics to understand how to take care of herself better, yet out of all the subjects, she specifically dislikes history...
"People who can't let go of the past, can never look to the future!" said her grandmother once, long ago, words that still haunts her to this day... and though, indeed, her grandmother's words had put quite the severe impact in her mind, having the powers to see the past at any time is not helping her find any interest on it... though that aside, she still has far above average scores at it.

With that being the case however, Tomie is not one to abuse her powers and looks to the past to fulfill her own wants and needs. As for one, the trauma of finding out the harsh truth of her friends still haunt her, and two... she just could not find any amusement in doing so...

The school bell rings, ending the period, and thus, the day's mathematics and biology exams were finished, breezed by Tomie, most likely with flying colors.

The exams had finished, and though this would mean that the third years are free to return home, Tomie instead walks the corridors alone, where seemingly enough, she is the only third year there.

Through the busy corridor, filled with underclassmen, all noise fades out as Tomie can only focus on the sound of her own footsteps. It's a clear, sunny day outside, one which makes Tomie feel slightly more cheerful, seem to have no effect today...

She looks out the corridor window and sighed...

She closes her eyes, wondering exactly what is causing her to feel so distressed and lost... then a familiar figure fades into her mind... the bandaged man who she met the day it all started... Dazai.

Tomie opened her eyes quickly and quickly felt her cheeks getting redder and warmer... she slapped them both to try and get the man out of her mind, though to no avail, save for attracting the attention of some bystanders.
