EPILOGUE

LIFE'S A FUNNY thing, you see. Hindi mo alam kung saan ka talaga patungo o kung ano ba talaga ang mangyayari sa buhay mo. This life is crazy and it is full of awesome and sometimes terrible surprises but always remember no matter how terrible things may be now, life will still unfold and the awesome surprises will come.

Walking down the aisle is such an amazing feeling lalo na kung alam mo na ang naghihintay sayo sa dulo ay yung taong mahal na mahal ka talaga. It was a quick yet slow-paced journey for Carson and Airi pero it was all worth it. He saved her as much as she saved him. Yun naman ang essence ng pagmamahal diba? You go for that person who gives you new hope everyday, yung taong alam mong mamahalin ka kahit may pagkukulang ka o kung ano mang problema. Carson and Airi found that in each other. It was a silent love affair pero in the end their hearts are beating the same song.

Nagsimula silang dalawa like usual lovers do, friends and nothing more. Ang kaibahan nga lang talaga siguro ay yung kakaibang warmth na naramdaman nila agad sa isa't isa. There was no wall that separated them, ang alam lang nila they are at ease with ease other. Hindi nila agad naisip na ba yung familiarity na yun pala ang magiging daan sa love story nila.

It has been a whole two years mula noong magkakilala sila. Nakakatawa na within the first two months ay nagkasama na sila sa iisang bahay. This was the perfect song for her to walk down the aisle to kasi they will always, always keep on choosing each other no matter what. Kaya ngayon habang mabagal niyang binabaybay ang mahabang daan na ito patungo sa altar ay punong-puno ang puso niya, her eyes are swelling up with tears kasi finally another chapter of hers and Carson's life will begin. Malapit na siya ngayon sa gitna ng aisle kung saan nagaaabang ang Papa niya para ihatid siya kay Carson. Who would have thought that her family will be okay again?

"Ang ganda mo anak," ngumiti ito bago hinawakan ang kamay ni Airi.

"Thanks you Papa," she smiled and continued walking.

"Salamat kasi ginusto mo pa din na ihatid kita ngayong kasal mo." Her father cried noong sinabi niya na gusto niyang ihatid siya nito sa araw ng kasal niya. He didn't expect it dahil na din siguro sa pinagdaanan ng pamilya nila pero she will not have it any other way.

"Papa, siyempre ikaw lang ang pwedeng maghatid sa akin kay Carson," she assured him.

All wounds have healed. Wala na ang lamat ng pagkakamali o galit sa puso ninuman. She is happy and hopeful na patuloy na ang ganito nilang samahan. As for her Mama, in remission na ito pero hindi pa din tapos ang treatments nito. She wanted her to walk down the aisle kasama nila pero hindi pa nito kaya, kaya nasa harap na ito at naghihintay sa kanila. Buo na ang pagkatao niya ngayon. Kilala na niya kung saan siya nanggaling at kung sino ang tunay niyang magulang. It was a long wait pero it was worth it.
