I looked about the carriage, the muffled voices of the fellow passengers were beginning to become more quiet. I guess that meant the train had arrived at its designated stop, although no one had rose from their seats.
The view outside the window to my side was difficult to distinguish as a murky haze suffocated the landscape. There was no telling where I was, and no one else appeared willing to tell me either. I knew I had made a big mistake to allow my curiosity to get the best of me, but maybe, just maybe something good would come of all this, of my little misadventure.
My thoughts were quickly interrupted as a loud, male voice crackled through a loudspeaker above my head "DOORS ARE ABOUT TO OPEN, PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF OTHER TRAVELLERS!". Travellers? I thought, how could I be a traveller when I had not the slightest idea as to where I was travelling to..
The mood within the beings here shifted as the announcement ended, the hustling of figures began again as they shuffled towards the exit doors. This was my time to stand up and see where I had ended up.
Passengers raced to the door, the line was quite long but I knew I had to be patient, everyone was so unfamiliar, I wouldn't dare strike up an issue with any of them.
One by one the line got shorter, until finally I could see the exit. My stomach dropped when I saw the doors open, all I saw was dark night. Pitch black, night.
