I don't think these two would make a good couple mostly because of the events in The Dark Prophecy (no I won't give away spoilers). I will say this, however: in the second book, Meg and Apollo bring out the balance in one another, and just from reading it I can't see a couple, I can see platonic soulmates, two people who bring each other harmony without having a relationship
