So, yesterday I went with my mom and her boyfriend to the supermarket and we got a sand box for my cat, It is filled with sand and weighs about 15kg, I took it upon myself to carry it to the shopping cart. She didn't protest then, but when we reached the register and I lifted it she started saying "don't lift heavy things!!" I was like, "but I've always done that" she ignored me and I continued lifting the sand box and some other boxes. When we reached the car she whispered to me the same thing. I got mad and did it anyway. I mean, I've always lifted heavy things since I was 12, we finished loading the car and we got in, her boyfriend went to pay the ticket. I asked her what was the problem of me lifting heavy stuff, and I shit you not, she said this: "Don't take away men's job of doing that." Now I was pissed, I told her I'm a boy and she was like, no, physically you're not. I flipped and said "THERE ARE WOMEN THAT LIFT WEIGHTS AT THE OLYMPICS, AND THAT'S NOT EVEN THE POINT, YOU'RE STILL TREATING ME LIKE A GIRL AND I CAN CLEARLY LIFT HEAVY STUFF." She shut up afterwards and we got home and I still fucking lifted that heavy ass sand box.
