That morning, I woke up trembling and sweating. Again the same dream...

* It always began with a man with long, white hair, a sweeping silver beard, and broad shoulders, which made him look like some wise king of ancient legend. In his aged face under great snowy brows his eyes were set like coals that could suddenly burst into fire. (okay guys this is gandalf) Everytime the man spoke to Edlynn in a language she couldn't understand: 'Tell them this, my dear: Lasto nin, boe beriad Edlynn, odulen an gin eliad. I ven hen delu.' She didn't understand to who she was supposed to say this, or what it even meant.

Then the scene switched, and there was a strong, tall, man, with bright blue eyes like the morning sky on a summer day. His hair was long and light-blonde, with two braids on the side of his head. Because of this, you could just see that his ear was pointed upwards. His face was so pure, that when you looked at it, it seemed as if you were looking at a human form of heaven itself. He shook his beautiful head and said: 'Avon cared.'

The next moment Edlynn saw four people with a fairly human figure, only smaller, fattish in the stomach, shortish in the legs, and round, jovial faces with ears only slightly pointed and hair short and curling, lying dead in a forest. She saw a lean, dark and tall man, with shaggy dark hair, grey eyes, and a stern, pale face, being attacked by an invisible force. The man with the pointed ears was there too, but as he tried to shoot at the force with his bow and arrows too protect the man, he got stabbed from behind by someone or something she couldn't see.

Out of the bushes came another man, stocky, broad-shouldered and you could immediately see that he was as strong as a horse. The most notable things about him were his long, redish beard and a huge axe that he held pridely in his hand as he came running towards the battle. But he was held back by some kind of force field, because when he came near the man and the unseen force, suddenly he flew backwards and bumped into a big, old tree, blood trailing down his head. The only man that was still alive, the tall man with the grey eyes, was getting tired, and the invisible creature took his chance as he chopped his head of. An evil laughter spread through the forest... *

That was usually the part where I woke up, shivering and trying to hold in my screams. I tried to make the dream go out of my mind by taking a hot shower, but it kept repeating in my head. The man with the beard, the teenager with the beautiful eyes and then all the different people dying in front of me, and nothing that I could do about it. Something was important about the dream, I could feel it, and somehow, the people in this dream felt close to me, which was strange since I didn't even know who they were. I heard a knock on the door while I came out of the shower, still naked. ''Are you ready Lynn?'' I heard the strong voice of my brother Ean say, in a tone that brought way too many memories back. No. Not again. Please, not today. I thought, but I knew that arguing was no use against my brother, so I opened the door.

I only had three hours of school that day, so I decided that after school I could maybe go for a walk in the forest just out of town, as I didn't feel the need to go back home after what had happened that morning. As I arrived at school, I saw Maressa Parker and Vanessa Jackson coming out of a car. I knew it was the car of Vanessa's big brother, but I didn't see the point in them coming by car as Vanessa lived five minutes and Maressa two minutes away from school, and they were only seventeen, like me, so they could just walk like I did. Maressa was wearing superskinny black jeans that made her slim legs look even better, and she wore a neon pink sweater with fake diamonds that formed the word 'fake', which I thought was kind of funny, since she really was fake.

I let out a soft giggle, but unfortunately Vanessa heard me. As she came walking towards me with her hands on her hips, I saw that she was wearing the same oufit as her best friend, apart from her sweater being blue. ''What exactly are you laughing at, fatty?'' she spat in my face. I knew that if I would say something rude back, I would definitely get a punch in my face, so I just said nothing. ''Thought so.'' Vanessa said as she walked away. Then she turned around to face me and said: ''Oh, and by the way, what the hell are you wearing?'', then she laughed again and walked away, arm in arm with Maressa. I looked down.
