"Luke!" I screamed at him when he finally walked in. "Why did you tell Charlotte all that stuff? You know the accident and what happened to your brother wasn't my fault!" I was physically shaking now, I was that angry.
"It was your fault he was in the car in the first place,"
"Luke really? I knew you hated me but really. This is low.' We glared at each other for a few moments. Neither of us had spoken about his brother in years. I ran my fingers through my hair and shook my head lightly. "What happened to your brother was horrible, and neither of you deserved it but that was no excuse for doing what you did!" The anger clearly showing in my voice. "I had no choice." "Luke. Everyone has a choice. You knew it was a tough time for me too. My dad was in prison and my mum had just packed her bags and left us. Instead of trying to help me, or comforting me, you know, like a boyfriend should, you just left too, taking the rest of the boys with you!" I had completely forgotten that we weren't alone in the room, "Oh, and what did you tell Charlotte, that I killed your brother?" "Brooke..." He warned. I knew that talking about Luke's brother would be a hard subject to speak about and that I was being really insensitive and I knew it was wrong but part of me wanted to hurt him like he'd hurt me. "Luke. You didn't even go to his funeral." I reminded him. "Your mum spent months looking for you but you didn't call her. Not even once."
I stormed out of the dressing room and walked down the corridor. I didn't even know where I was going I just had to get away from Luke.
'This is pointless, I don't even know how to get out of here, there's too many staircases and corridors. Sulking I curled up into a ball and pressed myself close to the wall, wanting to disappear. My head was buried in my knees and after a few minutes I heard the muffled sound of voices down the hallway.
"That was a great gig, shame it was the last of the tour.' I smiled at the sound of Ashton's voice.
"The atmosphere was buzzing." Calum added.
"I'm going to go and freshen up, I'm surprising Charlotte and taking her out for dinner tonight. See you guys tomorrow" My eyes lit up and a smile formed on my face. Was that Michael? Had he finally got a girlfriend? I hoped so, he deserved somebody who loved him as much as he loved them, when Michael falls for somebody he falls hard.
"Cal, you staying for a bit or going?"
"I'm going to have an early night tonight, I'm worn out from this tour. Night mate."
Footsteps faded into the opposite direction and I heard a door close.
"And then there was one..." Ashton sighed.
I couldn't say hiding on this staircase forever, I'd have to go over some time."
I gulped before standing up and walking hesitantly over towards the door."
"Oh my gosh, Brooke!" Ashton screamed.
"Ashton, I've missed you!" We ran up to each other and both threw our arms around the other's waist. It had been two years since we'd last spoke. When he left with Luke I thought i'd never see him again, i'd felt that a part of me wasn't there anymore.
"Brooke, what are you doing here?" In the past I had felt safe in Ashton's arms. When he held me i felt at ease and was able to relieve myself of any pain or negativity. Yet this time it felt different. He, along with Luke, had been the cause of my pain, how could I forgive him? Instead of answering I closed my eyes and burried my head into his warm chest. I breathed in his aroma. He smelled so good with the scent of Hollister lingering on his clothes that clung perfectly to his figure.
"I saw Luke." I mumbled into Ashton's jacket, playing with material with my thumb as I spoke.
A/N
I don't like this chapter and it sort of ends abruptly. It's just a short filler before I get to the main parts / storyline
I'm already running out of ideasidek if Brooke should get back together with Luke, or fall for Ashton, or something else.
Sorry it's so bad. I just wanted a quick update so you didn't think i'd given up on this fanfic
