You were my fire, so I burned until there was nothing left of me. I touched your face, I held you close until I could barely breathe. Why give me hope, then give me up? Just to be the death of me...
They had arrived in Utah about an hour ago. Frankie tried getting in touch with Amanda with no luck. She had convinced the guys to let her go by a store to buy some new clothes. Which meant her brother paid for them. He also gave her some extra cash to have since she wasn't going to have someone else to stay with."Are you sure about this? I don't think you should be alone in the city," Corey said to her as they walked through the store.
"I'm sure. I know how to take care of myself. I'm not worried about it," She replied coolly. "Plus, if I don't like it, I can always go somewhere else,"
"Here, let me give you some money," He said as he fished out his wallet. Frankie placed her hand on top of his, as it reached his back pocket.
"No, Cor. Shawn already did. I promise I'll be fine," Corey grabbed her hand that was on his and brought it to his lips, placing a small kiss.
"I'm still going to. I know you'll need a lot of shit here," He started, but she interrupted him. She placed her hand back at her side and sighed.
"Corey, really. He gave me plenty. Tell you what, if I need anything I have your number. I'll call you,"
"You better fucking call me anyway!" He said as he tried to push out a laugh but it didn't work so well. Truth of the matter was, after he spent all of his time thinking last night, he realized that he never actually got a chance to tell Frankie the truth about what happened. Every time it came up, she would change the subject or someone interrupted.
◊◊◊Save the rest of me. Because I see you, but I can't feel you anymore - so go away. I need you, but I can't need you anymore. You hesitate. Now and then, you come around like there's something left for me. We were one, we were everything...
"Okay well, I'm going to stay in a hotel for a month. I've already got it squared away with the manager and I'll be looking for either an apartment or a house. Whichever I can afford. And a car!" Frankie explained to everyone, after she'd gone off with Corey to look at places to stay. Luckily the band was staying in Utah for a couple of days and didn't have to play until tomorrow before they headed off to the next city.
"So, Frankie. We need to talk," Corey said to her as they were sitting in the small café they chose for a quick bite to eat.
"Look. I told you we're not together. I can sleep with whoever I want to," She spat, not wanting to have this conversation.
