Chapter 6
After the third episode, I climbed off the bed during a commercial break. I grabbed the drawings on the dresser by the door, looking through them. I knew for sure that I wanted Will to be the first one. He was just so easy to be around. Grabbing a pencil from the floor I dragged my stuff to a chair against the wall to the left of the bed so I could see the show while I worked.
“No, no, no. As a whovian, you're not allowed to work right now,” Will said, climbing off the bed and coming towards me.
I huffed, slapping the sketch book down on my lap. Liam raised an curious brow, but said nothing as Will stood in front of me. “I have questions...” I whined. “I want to make this perfect, and I need you to help me.”
Will frowned, confused. “I'm confused. I thought you were painting.....” He stared at me, not understanding. I looked up waiting. He sighed. “Fine, but only between commercials.”
I smiled. “Sucker,” I cooed.
He gave me the finger as he climbed back onto the bed, not looking back. I waited until the next commercial break before asking him anything. Throughout the next two episodes, I learned a lot about him. Some of it from Liam's input. I learned his favorite color was obvious, Sapphire blue, and that mostly, he dealt with feuds between the water creatures, though communication could be a problem.
“How in the world would you talk to a sea dragon?” I asked, chuckling when he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
“It's mostly body language. They're telepathic so they can read your thoughts, but it doesn't work both ways. You have to be keen, use your senses,” he said smugly, swaying his hips.
“He uses a medium,” Liam put in flatly.
Will smacked his chest, looking offended. “Like you don't,” he scoffed.
“Yeah, but I admit it,” Liam replied, smacking him back.
“Okay, okay,” I called, trying to get them to stop. It took a few minutes but they settled down. “Favorite creature?” I asked, tweaking my drawing to make his eyes look more playful.
“Definitely roane's.”
“I don't think they're half as fond of you,” Liam muttered.
Will rolled his eyes. “Just the one, and he'll get over it eventually.” Liam smirked. “How was I supposed to know that it would offend him?” Will demanded.
Liam turned to me instead. “Dumb ass here stole-”
“Borrowed,”
“Stole a roane's skin to try it out.”
I gasped. “You didn't!”
Will narrowed his eyes at Liam before flashing me a smile. “I just wanted to see what it was like.” He shrugged. “It didn't work on me, but it was worth a shot.”
“It almost caused a war,” Liam told him, crossing his arms.
“Oh c'mon. It was before my first shift. I didn't know what I was doing,” Will huffed.
“When are you going to grow up?” Liam said, sounding serious.
Will threw his hands up in exasperation. “Yeah, cause asking a griffin if it wants to help you join the mile high club is real mature!” He scoffed.
Liam punched Will in the arm. “It was your idea!” He retorted,
I'm laughing so hard tears are coming down. “You could have said no.”
