BZZZT BZZZT* leave it to my phone to ruin the moment.. we both jump back, startled by the unwelcoming noise of my phone ringing. I look at the lit screen. Graves.
"He's probably worried why I'm not at the cafe." I say. Nacht shrugs, leaning back into the sofa. The TV blazes on. Of course. The first thing to do after a kiss is watch TV. I smile, Sitting back myself to watch the show with  him. I wonder how they'll react to this... will everyone hate me for kissing the cafe's number one enemy? About 15 minutes go bye with silence from both of us until. BZZT BZZT! God dammit graves! I groan finally answering.
"What?"
"Oh Avery.. you picked up."
"Yea I did, in case your wondering I didn't quit... I just.. I just needed a moment to take this all in." My voice was almost full of anger when I first started talking, but I relaxed. It's still Graves, I still greatly admire him.
"I understand, take your time Avery" I shouldn't be mad at graves... he was only trying to protect me.
"I'll come in tomorrow don't worry, I'm doing fine" I hear a small sigh on the other end, maybe a sigh of relief. We both say our goodbyes and I hang up.
"Oh yea I guess I should feed Mochi" he's still sleeping but probably just pretending to be dead since I haven't fed him yet. I stand up and as soon as I try to scoot past Nacht, he grabs my arm dragging me down. I fall onto him. My eyes wide, and a rosy blush comes across my face. I'm practically sitting on his lap.
"He can wait, he sleepin ain't he?" Nacht says grinning.
"Well yea but-"
"Good, ya can stay here then" I can't help but smile, he actually wants me to stay wrapped up with him? That's adorable. I stay curled around him for awhile, he's really cold.. feels like he belongs in the arctic. I'm sure it's just because his rust is cold too... or at least that's what Graves told me. It's not bothering though.
"Murrrrp"
Oh. Mochi's up. I start to get up but Nacht flinches and grabs onto me again. Was he sleeping? He must've been, he sure looks like he has.
"Mochi's up" I say snickering. He rolls his eyes and lets me go. I pour him his beloved food and the last cat treat. I wonder if I'm just going to be lounging on the couch with Nacht for the rest of the day... honestly I don't mind the idea at all.
And that's exactly what we do. All day. Both of us end up staying up for a couple hours later than normal. We didn't burn any energy so we're not really tired I guess. Is he sleeping in my bed tonight again? I mean it feels appropriate... I don't know, I can let him choose. I get ready for bed, throwing on some light pj's and brushing my teeth. When I go back into my room I can see he's still on the couch.
"Erm.. you don't have to sleep out there if you don't want to..." I squeak. God I'm so easily embarrassed. He just smirks and then starts striding towards me. I turn, making my way back to my bed. I lay down, my back on the bed and my face facing to the ceiling. Nacht is now beside me, his arm outstretched, holding me close. I like this. I'm happy.

*bzzz bzzzz bzzzz* my alarm goes off, I hit it. One of these im gonna break it. I lazily get up from the bed. Nacht is still sleeping. I wish I didn't have to go to work so early but I need the money... not looking forward to today. I switch into some everyday clothes, feeding myself and Mochi. I'm ready to leave but I'm not... I mean I have all my stuff, im fed, I'm dressed. But I guess I just don't wanna leave Nacht. Saying that sounds so strange.. I walk slowly down the alley to the cafe.. did Graves tell everyone? Do they know.. ugh.
I swing the cafe door open. Everyone looks at me as they work. Some giving concerned smiles, some just normally smiling. Yea. They know. They have to. Next thing I know it Finley is Next to me with a bright smile on her face.
"Avery! Where were you yesterday? We missed you!"
"Oh... just taking the day off, I was pretty tired" I smile reassuringly and she gives me a nod and walks off. Oh. Graves is at the top balcony watching me. Well I guess they don't know.. which is good. Graves doesn't even know Nacht came back. He doesn't know I.. whatever he doesn't have to. By the time im finally starting to get tired its time to go. Makes me a little happy I suppose. I mean I get to see Nacht again. Me and Graves haven't talked all day though. I don't want that believe it or not. I still really care about graves. He helped me in so many ways. Before leaving I go to his apartment.
"Hey graves, just sayin bye for today.." he's on his couch with Dracula in his arms. He gives me a warm smile.
"Nice of you to stop by Avery, have a good evening." I wave and turn to leave. I start up the alley and when I get home I'm welcomed by Nacht standing right by the door, he picks me up with no trouble at all. He holds my face close to his and I peck a kiss on his lips. I laugh, escaping his hold. I guess I'll have to tell them someday. Maybe tomrrow. But right now. It's just us.
