I just knew that ByunniePark24 deleted "The Aftershocks" and I'm so sad. I want to know why coz I didn't get the chance to read the last chapter she published. Do you guys know why though? 😭

Baekhyun closes the door with a soft thud. He holds his chest, breathing hard as if being with the dumbass one alone suffocates him.

He climbs down the stair and sees Chanyeol's mother drinking coffee in the sala. The midget quietly approaches the woman not to scare her and prevent spilling the coffee she is sipping in front of his face.

"Oh, dear. How's Chanyeollie, hm?" She asks as she takes notice of Baekhyun's presence beside her.

Baekhyun clutches the strap of his bag. "Ma'am, your son is already sleeping. I-I think I must go home. It's getting late though."

"Oh, okay dear. Thank you for paying my son a visit. You're free to visit my son anytime you want." Mrs. Park says with a wide smile just like Chanyeol's.

The small male almost gags.

At the back of Baekhyun's mind, there's no more second time because he wasn't supposed to be in their abode in the first place. But then, this is an elder talking to him so he just smiles a bit and bows ninety degree as a sign of respect.

"Sure Ma'am. I'll visit Chanyeol if I have time." I'm always busy.

Baekhyun turns his heel.

"Ah, mind if I ask you a... question?" Mrs. Park asks making Baekhyun halts on his track. He looks back at the lady and nods his head with generous smile.

"Is my son... courting you, Baekhyun?"

Baekhyun's eyes widen, jaw hanging slightly at the so sudden question.

He blinks repeatedly. "N-No Ma'am... Your s-son is—"

"—Oh, don't worry dear! I'll tell Chanyeol to man up and court you already! Okay?"  He can't utter a word. He's completely speechless. Mrs. Park is... what the hell is Mrs. Park talking about?

Not understanding the whole thing, Baekhyun just lets out a tiny smile before bowing down again and leaving the Park's residence.

"What the hell." Baekhyun mumbles, shutting the door behind him.

The midget doesn't know whether he would still go and confront the dumbass two and three about what they had done to him yesterday. He's blaming them for the dark circles under his eyes that just appeared this morning when he stared at himself in the mirror, groaning as he ruffles his air in annoyance and mumbling curses towards the culprits.

Sighing as the dark circles stay there after being glared at for five minutes, the conversation with Mrs. Park crosses his mind. Does Mrs. Park likes him? For his son?

Oh my God! What am I thinking?!

Brushing off the thought, he quickly does his usual routine before going to school.

"Ma, I'm leaving!" Baekhyun shouts for his mother to hear him.

"Alright! Drive safely son!"

"I will!"

He sets the engine on the go and when he passes by on the Park's house, he notices that the door is still closed and dark as if no one is inside. He wonders if Chanyeol is fine now and can go to school already. He was burning hot last night.
