(Listen to Help Me Out by Alicks)

I walked in the camp with Jacob by my side as I looked at him and smiled. He wasn't looking at me. Instead, he looked at his father who gave him a death stare.

"Are you...okay?" I state, prolonging the word you.

"Y-Yeah, Yeah. I'm fine." He says as he immediately turns his head back towards me and looks down to the dusty, light brown, dirt ground that our feet were inches apart on. Our arms were slightly touching, and with every touch we didn't seem to dislike it.

"Hey, uh...Esther?" He calls as he came to a stop. I stop as well and walks slightly towards him, "Yeah?"

"Whatever...uh, happens. I just want to say that it won't and it will never be your fault, okay?" He says, "It'd be mine."

"What's up, Jacob? You seem...tense. Lighten up a little, bud." I smile and nudge him on the shoulder, "If anything ever happens, I don't think it would be our fault. It'd be someone else's, okay? Don't blame yourself too soon, Jacob."

He nods, "Don't be harsh on yourself okay?" I state as I keep walking, "So, did your parents make this?"

"Kind of. They thought it would be a great idea to change people's perspectives and how they live their lives, you know?" He states as I nod, "It must've cost a fortune. There are a lot of cabins and tents for those who are willing to sleep outside. Get the best of it, huh?" I smile as he shook his head, "I don't think people would use the tents. My parents are just extra." He chuckles as I did as well.

It felt good to be with him. I felt like my old self again. Like, the time when we were seven years old.

___

"Jacob, I'm scared!" I exclaim.

My legs were shaking, yet my feet tried to be as sturdy as possible to not fall off the branch of the tree.

"Jump, Essy! Jump!" He says whilst jumping on a ground as a demonstration.

"What if I fall?" My hands were tightly gripping on the bark of the tree, "What if I don't make it?"

"Close your eyes and jump!" He states, "Are you sure?" I ask.

"It's like you're asking if you trust me. The answer is yes!" I state.

I was absolutely scared.

But, even so, I did as he said. My eyes were closed as I breathed in and tried to calm myself, "I'm here." He states, his voice felt near now.

I could feel his hands wrap around my hand that was on the bark as I moved a little to the side of the large, thick branch.

"Open your eyes." He states as I do. I look at him, his hazel eyes stared into mine as he sat down.

He pats the area beside him as I sit down as well, "Let's just wait for your dad." He smiles, "Okay." I reply.

___

My thoughts were broken down by a stern voice, "Ms. Maxwell, what are you doing here?"

"Good afternoon, Mr. Sartorius." I state, he seemed surprised as I decided to answer his question, "I thought you would know because my parents put me up for the task of trying out this camp."

"I see." He states, "Your cabin is in 209. Good luck." He states as I nod, "This will be a bit like boot camp, but in a more child friendly way with my wife. Except for you teens, you'll be with me."

"Okay?" I state as he nods firmly. Jacob puts a reassuring hand on my back and patted it, "You'll be fine. My father won't do anything affiliated with boot camp. Just wood carving and survival tips and some of that crap."

"Why did you decide to join the camp?" I ask as he sighs, "I didn't want to. My dad forced me into this."

"Where's your sister?" I ask, "She's in college right now." He replies as I nod, "Well, here's my cabin."

Jacob takes off the backpack, "Uh, you're not going in?" I ask as he shook his head, "This cabin is for girls. We, boys, are not allowed."

"Did you just assume their gender?" I squint as he shook his head in a fast pace, "No— Yes— Both. I didn't mean for it to sound like th–"

"That's okay, Jacob. I was just kidding." I chuckle. I was about to unlock the cabin door , "Please tell me I am in the same cabin as Loren?"

"You're not in the same cabin as Loren. But, because you want me to say it, you're in a cabin with Loren." He chuckles as I roll my eyes, playfully.

"Thanks, Jacob. Appreciate it." I state and smile, "So, see you later?"

"See you later." He smiles as he walks away. I open the cabin as I notice four girls. One of them had green eyes and the other two had hazel ones. I smiled and waved, "Uh, hey." I smile as they smile back.

"Hey, Roomie!" A girl pops up before me, revealing her – also – hazel brown eyes, "Oh, uhm... Hello. Who are you exactly?"

"I'm one of Jacob's...How do you say this... fans I suppose? He hasn't really made a name for his fans." She states as I gave a questioning look, "And, you obviously know him a lot. So, could you please introduce me for him?" She asks, "Most importantly, us?"

I look at the other girls who smiled at me, "Uh, yeah. About that...I think I was put in the wrong cabin. Uh, see you guys later." I state shutting the door and looking for Jacob.

I spot him near one of the teenagers, trying to explain something in a nice and smiley way.

Gross.

Just a reminder, I still don't like him.

I walk over to him with a fake plastered smile, every smile was fake. I wasn't good with explaining.

"Uh, Jacob. There are a ton of...fans? In my dorm? Your fans?" I state as he looks at me, "I mean..."

"You didn't tell me you were famous?" I question as he sucks in a breath.

It was obvious he was surprised by the truth of him not telling the real reason why he turned good. And, I saw right through him.
