After finishing classes Sirius went to the hospital wing, where he knew Remus was. James had to stay behind and Peter was busy finishing off work.

Madame Pomfrey exited the hospital wing just as Sirius showed up. "Oh no, Mr Black, i know he's your friend but Mr Lupin needs rest."

"Oh please! I said I'd see him!" Sirius begged.

"Unless you're ill, Mr Black, return to your common room!" Pomfrey stated.

Sirius considered his options for a second then, as hard as he could against his will, punched himself in the face.

"You idiot, Mr Black!" Pomfrey shouted.

"See! Ill! Now let me in! Or do you wish to deny me care?" Sirius said coolly.

Pomfrey sighed. "I admire your dedication. Ok fine, you may enter. But do not stress him out Mr Black!"

"I won't!" He insisted. He ran into the ward and immediately saw Remus' bed and ran over. Remus was asleep, looking so peaceful.

Sirius sat on the side of the bed. He stared down at Remus. His hand found itself going towards Remus' shoulder. He pulled the covers down slightly and saw a few fresh scars. He sighed. Oh Remus...I wish i could do something...

Madame Pomfrey came back in.

"Oh, um, could you make hot chocolate with 3 sugars? After full moon he gets a bit of a sweet tooth." Sirius asked, slightly nervously.

She rolled her eyes and smiled. "Of course." Without another word she went to do just that.

Sirius looked at Remus. "Hey Remmy, today wasn't bad, you didn't miss much. Peter took notes for you today. It's ok, James said they were readable." Sirius smiled. "What am i doing? You're asleep, you can't hear me. I'm an idiot, aren't I?"

"Too much so." Remus croaked out, his eyes closed.

Sirius smiled. "Shut up."

Remus opened his eyes. He smiled. "I'm sure Peter's notes are good enough. Better than yours anyhow."

"How are you feeling?" Sirius asked quickly with a lot of concern.

Remus looked up at him. How, of all people, did i have a friend as gorgeous and thoughtful as Sirius?

"I ache. Nothing I haven't gone through before." Remus stated.

"But you shouldn't have to!" Sirius exclaimed.

Remus hesitated. "Why do you have a red mark on your face?"

"He punched himself in the face so I'd let him in." Madame Pomfrey said, walking over with a mug. She set it down. "Make sure you get rest, Mr Lupin."

"I will." Remus nodded.

She walked off.

"You idiot!" Remus playfully and weakly hit Sirius' hand. He wanted to sit up. Sirius helped by arranging the pillows.

"You ok? Is that ok? Does it feel comfortable?" Sirius asked.

"Yeah, yeah, thanks. What's this?" He asked, pointing at the mug.

"Hot chocolate, I had her make it. I thought you heard me?" Sirius asked.

"You were facing away at that point...too much energy to try and listen harder." Remus stated.

"Oh, ok, fair enough. James and Peter would be here, but they were kept behind. They'll be here soon." Sirius assured him.

"Right now, all I need is you." Remus stated and Sirius' stomach did a back-flip, followed by a chorus of butterflies applauding the performance inside him. Drastic reaction. He was only being friendly.
