The next day Remus and Sirius kept giving each other knowing glances and smiling. James and Peter were so bloody oblivious they didn't even notice. Well, Peter did a bit but when Sirius looked at him Peter winked and grinned and didn't mention anything.

"Guys...why is Lily so amazing?" James asked over lunch that day.

"Because she's smart enough to ignore a prat like you?" Sirius suggested.

James scowled at him. "Funny Pads, real funny...no, I mean have you ever seen anyone so perfect?"

Remus cast a quick sideways glance at Sirius to find Sirius had done the same.

"Um, yeah." Sirius answered.

"What? Where?" James asked.

"I've been placed man. Places I didn't even know had such wonders." Sirius replied.

"What the hell are you talking about?" James asked, screwing his face up, looking at Sirius like he was an idiot.

"His sexuality." Remus stated.

Sirius grinned. It's sort of true. He hadn't realised which way he swung until last night.

Peter just grinned again knowingly but James was so hopeless he didn't pick up on it.

"I'm going to go and find McGonagal, I need to ask something." Remus said, standing up. He looked at the teachers table. She wasn't there. "See you guys."

Lily ran over. "Remus! I need to find McGonagal too."

"Oh, ok. You may join me." Remus smiled. They left the Great Hall.

"Why does Lily like talking to Moony but not me?!" James exclaimed. "He doesn't like her, does he?"

"Oh, believe me, you don't need to worry about that." Peter replied, casting a quick glance at Sirius.

James scowled. "That's it. I'm getting the map to follow them." He got up and left.

Peter smiled at Sirius.

"Ok, you may be smarted than James at noticing things but come on!" Sirius stated, eyeing Peter suspiciously.

"I was testing out my rat form last night. I saw you and Remus in the common room. I'm not really that smart at picking things up." Peter explained.

"You little rat!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Literally." Peter smiled.

Sirius chuckled.

"But, why're you keeping it from us? I don't mind." Peter shrugged.

"How would James take it, do you think?" Sirius wondered.

"He's not heartless. He won't mind." Peter stated. "When has he ever even hinted at being homophobic?"

"He's hinted at being oblivious so even if he did see us getting close he'd use that famous phrase 'I thought you guys were just good friends, like Izzy and Yasmin in 3rd year.'" Sirius stated.

"Exactly! Now that I know and James is about as competent with these things as a mouse, you and Remus can get close in front of us." Peter told him.

Sirius nodded. "Fair enough. I might as well."

"And if you ever want James and I to sod off, just say. I'll find a reason to leave and convince James." Peter told him.

"Cheers Wormtail." Sirius smiled.

Peter smiled.

They went to their next lesson, which was Potions. James and Sirius were always paired up, with Remus and Peter paired up on the same bench.
