Escaping From Reality

chapter 29

On our way home I stopped.

"What about Draco?" I asked, concerned.

"Don't worry before I caught up with you when you ran up for Phillip, I saw him. He made the demons get lost. He told me that he'd be watching over you ..protecting you" replied Stephan.

"He always had.." I said, having a flashback of the drowning scene which made me feel broken again although he was back but ..he wasn't the same. I wished to have my friend back not a werewolf. But I couldn't complain I needed him still.

How could the world be so mean? What have I ever done to gain all this? I lost everything ,everyone ,my kingdom was falling apart, my life was turning to a disaster..or actually it was a disaster. I stopped there for a moment having flashbacks of my past. How good my life was! How happy I was! Running and playing with my little sister. Protected and loved by my elder brothers. Friends who were always there for me. A castle where I lived.. I had it all. There must be a reason! Everything happens for a reason. My life couldn't have been more worse. I lost my parents , my sister , my brother ,my life, my friends, my home, my kingdom. Everything. Why would God let this happen to me? I don't know yet...I sought for a reason..for an answer.
I remembered that we didn't have a home anymore, the demons found us! It would never be safe.

"We can't go back." I finally said, cutting of the silence." It's not safe anymore"

"But we have nowhere else to go.." Complained Phillip.

"I know ..but we have to find somewhere else to live. We don't have a choice" I said,trying to seem a bit braver.

"Phillip ! Our secret hiding place!" Stephan quickly reminded him.

"Great!" Phillip was pleased. "But..you think it's safe?"

"We have no where else to go" he replied.

"How far is that?" I need to know.

"About..." Started Phillip "20 miles away from your castle ..which means 25 miles away from here "

"WHAT?! " I exclaimed. "We can't walk that far. I mean it's too risky in the forest and we'd get there in a week or something"

"Who said we'll walk?" Phillip replied with a wide grin.

"Not again.." I mumbled.

"Both of you, cling to my arms " he said and we did. Suddenly we were in a different place. A room. We both fell to the ground as soon as we let go of his arm, sucking for air. "I hadn't told you to hold your breath, had I ?" He asked with a grin. We shook our heads. "Well, sorry then " he laughed.

"Is that your- " I stopped when I saw Stephan sit on the ground, legs crossed, glancing at every corner of the room with a smile as if at each corner he had a memory.
"I need to secure this room" I said and stepped out of the room and tried to cast a spell. I balled my fists ,opened my arms and look at the sky and said "secure this room where nothing, no one could get in except the three of us ..clouds of the sky, trees of the woods protect us from all living creatures" I said aloud. Clouds formed a circle with green light in it's middle where this light was scattered like lighting around the room ,forming a protective ball around the room. I saw a mouse moving towards the room but was quickly thrown away when it touched the protective ball's edge. I went back in "see, now we're safe" I said ,smiling at my great effort.

"You are really good at this" they both said ,ecstatic.

"Look, I'll tell you a list about what we need to do.." I started.

"What the.." They mumbled with a grin.

"Shh..listen, firstly I need a wand" I laughed at this.

"Uhh" Stephan muttered.

"Secondly, we need to fight Vicky and get her away from our throne " I continued.

"You're dreaming" Phillip said,mocking.

"Stop talking" I teased him " Thirdly we need to find Chrisy"

"Ugh Cornelia don't you remember the prophecy ? ' a cursed girl will disappear for years and years and not to be found till the sister breaks down the spell ' " he reminded me.

"Okay " I said disappointed. I really needed to find her. "The last thing is that I want to ..try something "

"What is it?" Asked Phillip, curious.

"We'll see" I said "sit down Phillip in front of Stephan and let me sit in between."

"Okay" it seemed like a whisper. He sat down and I sat beside him between him and Stephan. I held their hands and closed my eyes. I was trying to cast a spell ..
I began " let my power reach their minds ..and let us talk from inside " I repeated several times till I heard them groan.

"What have you done?" Groaned Stephan.

"You'll see " was my answer.

I had to try it. I closed my eyes and tried to talk in my mind
Phillip? Can you hear me ?
He was shocked "Wow, what is that?"
I'm talking to you through my mind.
He was still shocked "what?"

"Phillip ,are you talking to yourself?" Mocked Stephan.

Hi Stephan .. I said to Stephan in his mind.
He screamed in fear, Phillip laughed.
sorry brother ,didn't mean to scare you. I continued.

"How di-" he started but got lost in his words.

"Just concentrate, whatever you wanna tell me or Phillip just think about it and we'll hear it..only if you want us to hear it." I explained.

"Let's try it then " said Phillip.

Cornelia? Do you hear me. It's Phillip speaking. He said to me.
Yes I do. I replied.
Cornelia and Phillip both can you hear me?. Said Stephan targeting both of us at once.
Yes I do.
Me too. We replied.

It was really working. We could talk to each other without being heard.
"This is awesome !" Said Phillip , excited.
