Escaping From Reality

chapter 46

I walked to the hut, so weak , so scared. If I got attacked, I'd never survive. I glanced around me with fear, making sure I was safe. I had to make it to the hut safely. I felt so weird, so odd without my powers. I reached our hut and Stephan and Simon were waiting for me at the door. I ran to them and pushed them in , quickly shutting the door behind me.

"So?" Started Simon.

"He's gone there. I gave him my powers and Amos gave him a ring to keep him immortal for a day." I explained " I hope they'll be okay" I said with a sigh.

"He'll make it. He's smart." Ensured Stephan. "Just get some sleep and he'll come back tomorrow."

I nodded and went to sleep. I fell down with exhaustion like I hadn't slept for days. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, wishing that everything will be fine. Everything turned dark. I hadn't slept like that for so long. I felt the swift change as emptiness filled my mind after so long. The relief I felt as if something was removed from above my chest. I didn't want to wake up again to my worries and fears. I felt time pass so fast. Hours like seconds. At least for a few hours my mind wouldn't be thinking.

"Cornelia, wake up" I heard someone shake me awake. I opened my eyes slowly and I saw Simon's face slightly blurred.

"What is it?" I said ,my voice still rough. I cleared my throat as I waited for a reply.

"They're back.." He said. Those words hit me like a slap. I was so ecstatic that they were back. I quickly stood up ,looking for them, glancing all around the room. Stephan held my hand and pointed outside. I nodded to him and ran out. I saw them both standing there. I couldn't hold my excitement and quickly ran to them and pulled them into a hug.

"Are you okay?" I said as I started to cry with happiness. The both nodded. I looked at Phillip, staring at his warm eyes "I knew you loved me" I whispered to him. He smiled softly at me and whispered back " I knew you would believe me"

I turned to Draco as he took off the ring. I held his arm tightly to restore my powers. I kept on holding as I saw my veins light with green but removed quickly, leaving 1/4 of my powers to him. I smiled ,he smiled back.

"What happened?" I asked, so curious.

"I went in and no one even recognized me. I took it a chance and went underneath to where Victoria and Phillip were staying. She thought I was a normal werewolf but he knew it was me. I held her arms tight and he quickly got out her necklace and smashed it into pieces. She turned to dust and vanished. We went out as if nothing happened. No one even noticed." He smiled as he said the last sentence.

I smiled ,held their hands and went back in. We looked at each other. Finally it was over.

"We need to go home.." I said as I glanced at my brothers. "Victoria restored everyone's memories ,right" I asked Phillip and he nodded. I turned back to them " come on what are you waiting for?" I said as I smiled so hard, so happy.
We left the hut and walked to our castle. I felt the victory we made, we had defeated the devils. Finally everything was getting better. We stood by the castle gate, hesitant a bit but super ecstatic to be back home. The gates suddenly open and two guards ran to us. Greeting us and knelt to Stephan.

"Your Majesty, are you alright?" A guard said to Stephan as Stephan gestured to him to stand up.

"Yes. Will you take Princess Cornelia and Prince Simon to their rooms?..they need to rest" said Stephan in his soft royal voice. The two guards stared at us with confusion. "What?"

"Your highness it's just that you've been missing for so long we thought you were dead especially after the king and queen's tragic death." Said the other guard.

"We're totally fine" I started " and I order you to send 20 soldiers to look for princess Christiana ,and don't stop until you find her." I thought it was an opportunity to look for my sister.

"And them?" The guard said as he glanced at Draco and Phillip.

"They're our new guests" started Stephan " prepare a room for each and escort them to rest." He glanced at me with a smile and I smiled back.

We stepped into our castle and the guard escorted me and Simon to our rooms. I walked in, scanning every spot with happiness to be back home. I stared at the curtains and the sunlight shone through it, leaving light stains on the ground like water splashed on it. I ran and jumped on my bed, letting the comfort consume me. I hopped off and ran to the window and opened it. I stared at the beautiful view. The forest so far away seemed so amazing. The breeze in the air blew filled my lungs as I inhaled. I saw Simon at his window and I went in to go to his room. I stood by his door and knocked softly. It took a few seconds and he opened the door. His amazing smile drawn on his face.

"Can we talk for a while?" A softly said. He nodded and I walked in. I sat on his bed and looked around.

"So what happened to you ?" He started.

"I met Phillip that day and he helped me a lot. I was desperate that day I though I'd lost you... And then the disasters came at me all at once, I couldn't do it alone , Phillip helped and then Stephan showed up. We looked for Christiana then Draco showed up then that devil appeared at my doorstep and brought me to that king. He threatened me by killing all my beloved... And you know the rest." I explained "I also learned to control my powers and make spells."

He had nothing to say. Instead ,he sat beside me and hugged me. He whispered softly "it's over"

A knock on the door made us stand still. "Come in" a servant entered.

"Sorry your highness. Prince Stephan's coronation will be held tomorrow morning at the church." He announced " princess Cornelia ,your new dress is ready" I glanced at Simon and smiled. Finally our life is back.
