The Worry (Short)

Week later...
Gumball's POV

It's been a week since winter break. Chi Chi was silent next to me reading a book, he doesn't seem to talk much since I cheated on him with his best friend. I look over at him wanting to speak something but couldn't think of anything.
"Chi Chi."

He looks over at me, "Yes?"

"Are you okay?"

He chews his bottom lip, "Yes." I moved my body on top of his and put the book down. I explored his face, his eyes look watery.

"You're crying."

He turns away, "No I'm not."

"Then why are you crying?"

"Because... I..."

"Because what?"

"Do you think we'll always be together?" He asks with a worried look.

I looked at him confused, "What are you talking about?"

"I mean, when my parents are out of the hospital, what do you think they'll think of us."

I got my upper body up still on his lap, "Well, they'll freak out but hey at least we have days or weeks to be together."

He pushes me lightly off him and sits down. "Because if I leave, I may never see you again. What if in the future you like someone else more than me?"

I grabbed his shoulders, "Don't you ever say that, you are my boyfriend and nobody will never gonna split us! I love you and you love me. I'm happy when you're happy."

He chuckles.

"Hah... hahahah..." he kept on laughing and let's go of me. His hands covering his eyes, "Hahahah!" Tears leaked down from his covered eyes.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked. His reply was nothing but laughter still.

"How did I get in a situation like this? I should've died. I'm a fake, I speak like you, I almost look like you." He says, "But why do you love me? Am I better to be dead? Is it better for me to leave so you can have a perfect life?"

I took his hands away and quickly kissed him. He froze then kissed back, I can taste his salty tears on his lips.
I moved away and hugged him tightly.

Tears streamed down from my eyes, "I'm afraid that I stay here falling with you and waiting for you but then in the end you just leave. You were never supposed to mean this much to me. I was never supposed to fall so hard. But you know what? I did and that's the truth. That's what keeps me holding on because it hurts like hell to let you go. Everyday I think about you. And when you're gone, I can feel my heart becoming crushed by the touch of love thats between us.

I love you because you matter to me.

I love you because you care about me.

I love you because we fight for us.

And I'm glad you came into my world to fill the holes inside my heart because when I saw you the first time my heart said "he's the one" and here you are... with me."

Chi Chi didn't say anything until he hugged back.

"Gumball..." he whispers mixed with sadness. "I love you..."

"I love you too and nothing will break us apart.

I want you here with me..."

"Gumball, I will always be here with you."
