Chapter 3: Just Hanging Out

Jazmine's P.O.V

That night as I was eating, I realized that Shanice is probably worried to death because I didn't get to meet her in the side entrance of the school to walk home as usual. So I decided to call her real quick and explain myself.

"JAZMINE NICOLE HUNT", Shanice said real firm into the phone. "Oh my God, Shanice. I am so sorry. You see Luke saw me then he smacked me then Keith got me and threw me in his car and totally saved me then got me some McDonald's and was touching my thigh and stuff and I was just so stressed out and I forgot to call and Shanice I am so sorry", I said to her, my mouth going a mile a minute. "Wait, hold up", she said confused, "Can you repeat all of that in english". I slowly explained everything that happened in the last hour and a half.

"Okay, let me get this straight. Luke found you and hit you, then my man Keith came to the rescue and saved you then got you McDonald's? ", she said processing everything in her mind." Yep. Pretty much", I responded.

"WOW. He like you more than I thought", she said laughing. "Wait.... what!? No he don't.... he was just being nice... helping out a new friend", I said trying to shake it off.

But I knew deep down inside I was jumping for joy. 😊

"Yeah,  whatever. But a friend helping out gonna be caressing your leg like that? Girl, he wants you... stop trying to deny it.",she said making sure I knew he liked me. "Whatever. Wait,  what about you and Keith friend, Yazz? Nah, you can't even say both of yall ain't been feeling each other.", I said, that being my only comeback and change of subject. "Well, he cute. Happy!!!!  There I said it he cute as hell!!!", she said now getting a little frustrated because she knew it was true.

I laughed for about a minute straight until I broke it with, "Hey, Nicey. How about I come over to your house and we.... I don't know.... invite them over??", I said hoping she wouldn't make fun of me just trying to see Keith... which I was.

"Child, you read my mind", she said which meant she wanted to see Yazz. She always called me "child" because she was born 1 month before me.

Since my mom never really cared where I was because I was pretty responsible, I just called her to tell her I wouldn't be home when she got there.

She never knew about how Luke was toward me. She thought he was one of the nicest boys I had ever dated. Shanice was the only person who knew about his anger issues and how he hit me when he got mad... well I guess Keith knew now, too. But I quickly got out of my thoughts and left for bestfriend's house.

Shanice's P.O.V.

While I waited for Jazz, I called Bryshere to see if him and Keith could come over. "Hey, Shanice. Wassup?", he said in his sexy voice.  "Hey, I was wondering if you could call up Keith so yall could both come over?", I said trying to stay as cool as possible. "Oh yeah, he right here. Hold up, let me ask him real quick", he replied through them big, juicy lips. I heard a couple of noises and then I heard him say, "Ight, Keith. Yeah, we coming. And Nicey, text me your address". "Ight, see yall in a minute", and I texted him my address.

Right after I hit send, I heard the front door open. Then Jazmine appeared in my bedroom door.(Yes, of course she has a key to my house. She my bestfriend, sha-duh).
"Hey, Nicey.",she said with a little smirk. "Watchu all smiling for... oh nevermind, I should've known you all smiley because you about to see your lil boo", I said making her blush a little. "Shut up", she said laughing. We laughed until it was interrupted by the doorbell. We both rushed down the stairs and fell together, then eventually got to the door laughing looking all goofy.

Keith's P.O.V.

They came to the door looking all goofy and suspicious, trying to hold their laughs. But Jazmine was really looking good, even though I just saw her earlier.



"Hey, dickheads", she said smiling sarcastically."Damn, we been friends for a day and yall already calling us names", Yazz said shaking his head. They started bickering as we walked inside, but me and Jazz were quiet like mice. "Aye, why yall so quiet", Yazz said getting our attention, "Yall hiding something from us?, he said looking suspicious. Earlier when Jazmine was with me, she made me swear I wouldn't tell a soul...

....including Bryshere.

I guess Shanice knew because she said, "Uuhhhh.... no, Bry, it's nothing. How 'bout I get you something to drink, Yazz?",she said trying to save Jazmine as best she could." Yeah, whatever", he replied getting up. As she walked on front of him, leading him to the kitchen, he looked back at me mouthing "Wooh!" referring to her ass.I never noticed because I was always looking at Jazmine's (which was hella fat).

Jazmine's P.O.V

I was just thinking about all the times Luke hit me and what I could do to make it stop. "So he really used to always hit you like that?", Keith asked as I'd he could read my mind. I nodded. After a minute of just hearing Shanice and Yazz's from the kitchen, I just was like fuck it and broke the silence. "It's just that... I'm the kind of girl who hates being ignored and since he's a total jerk, he always ignored me. One day, I told him not to ignore me and he got so mad he........he...". I broke down right there.

He held me in his arms saying "Sshhh" and "It's okay", while occasionally kissing my hair. That's something I only felt with my dad. After I was finally finished with my break down, he looked me in my eyes and.....

......he kissed me. Right on the lips.

"Woah,woah,woah", I suddenly heard Shanice say. We pulled away and both looked like two deer in headlights. "Okay, KP, I see your work", Yazz said, Shanice nudging him. "I'm sorry, Shanice. I just....", Keith said trying to save the both of us. "Oh nah, Keith. It's all good...i just thought we were.... well...

..... just hanging out."
