Scandalous?

Chapter 4

"So-phie," Matt sang directing everyone's attention from Miguel and Lisa, who were still swaying, to themselves.

"Matt! Stop hogging all the weed," Sophie shouted after she realized that all the teachers had left. Soon enough, people went back to having their own personal conversation, as this happened quite often. Sophie and Matt were a well known couple who had an on and off relationship with each other, always fighting over the littlest things. At this moment they were arguing over who got most of the weed.

Sophie let out a quiet giggle as Matt and her stumbled upstairs. Both were shit faced and had no idea what they were doing.

"Look at this new shit I got." Matt happily explains. With that thought, Sophie quickly sobered up and snached the bag away.

"Matt, we agreed we were gonna stick with weed only!" She whines visibly infuritaed.

"Sophs," Matt starts to explain, "You know weed doesn't do anything to us anymore, we need to step up our game." He says with utmost determination.

"No, I'm going to throw this away and we need to go home befo-." Sophie was cut off by the sirens that went off outside the gym. Based on the distant sound, I would predict that it was coming from outside the school. Everyone froze on the spot, Miguel and Lisa stopped dancing and dropped their hands down to their side. Sophie ran to the lights and swiftly turned them on.

"Soph whats going on?" A wide-eyed Sade whispered to Sophie, as her arms wrapped around Isaac.

"I don't know Sade, just be quiet." Sophie ordered softly. Sade nodded and leaned back into Isaac's arms. But everyone else in the party was leaving left to right. People were screaming and stumbling out trying to avoid the police. Sophie quickly ran to where she left Matt. He was lying on the ground mumbling to himself. Sophie's widened as she spotted the mysterious drugs that were currently scattered on the floor next to a near unconscious Matt. With shaking hands, Sophie swiftly picked up the drugs, frantically searching for a trash can. In desperation, she tossed the drugs outside before hauling Matt up and running to the back door. She could hear the police approaching the door so she dropped Matt's body on the ground behind the bushes and ran off.

Meanwhile, Emilio Mcguire, the student council president, was talking to the police officers at the door. "Are you kids aware that you're trespassing on private grounds?" One of the officers asked, scouting the room.

"I'm sorry officer..." Emilio trailed off, indicating he was waiting for his name.

"Officer Darrell," he replied showing him his ID as he scanned the gym, looking for any signs of mischief.

"I'm sorry Officer Darrell, we were just attending our school's party," Emilio repeated as the rest of the crowd stayed silent while the 2 other officers began searching the students.

"Shit!" Matt swore under his breath as he tried to get up from behind the bushes and hide his bag, which had more drugs that Sophie didn't know about in it.

"Hey!" Another police officer shouted at Matt as he tried to turn around and run. I was able to spot the name tag on the second officer, Garv.

"Hey!" he repeated as he began to jog towards Matt, having caught the attention of the other 2 officers

"What do you have there?" Officer Garv began to question, trying to grab the bag from Matt's hands..

"Nothing sir," Matt slurred placing the bag down on the floor behind him.

"Underage drinking, eh?" Officer Garv said before picking up Matt's Trademark Adidas bag and opening it. His eyes widened as he spotted seven more packets of powdered drugs.
