Forgiveness

My soul screams

Yet mouth says nothing,

It only has that usual smile

That doesn't reach the eyes.

How I wish

You could see

The pain behind that smile.

You asked for forgiveness

For all your doings,

For your selfishness,

For your betrayal,

But tell me how can I?

After all those wounds,

Which won't heal ever....

After all those scars,

Which won't fade ever....

How do I forget the feeling?

Of being used,

Of being played,

Still I smile

And say 'I forgive you'

That's all you needed I know,

To be freed from the guilt.

I think thats the least I could do,

For you.

It was indeed tough but I had to,

For teaching me not to trust anyone,

So blindly.

Finally you freed me from,

My naiveté.

Now you are free from your guilt,

And I am free from people like you.

Now I know the people who are really 'MINE'

I guess I'm over you.

So how's it?

Please leave your thoughts :)

By the way this one is fiction.
