A Funeral

On this sunny sunday,

Me and my friends sing the cheerful lay.

We are here to bid adeau to an old mate,

To push that 'seriousness' out of the gate.

We marched towards my backyard garden,

To royally dump all the burden.

Dressed in bright colourful outfits,

With funky hats to beat the heat.

In the cute little shed

Made by my dad,

We gather and start the funeral

Instead of cries, full of chortles.

Tears too welled up soon,

Because of the laughter at noon.

Finally I raise my mocktail and say-

Here's to the seriousness till this day.

The shed fills with squeals and cheers,

All saying : "Here...Here..."

I missed you all so so much! But the good news is that now I am free :D

So here's a downright silly poem after a long time! :P

Do leave your thoughts :)
