- A month later -"Yeah, I'll meet you by flight 12 around noon. Okay?¨ I say with my phone pressed against the side of my head.
"Sounds perfect." Colins deep irish accent rings into my ear.
"Oh and don't forget to eat breakfast. I don't think we'll have time to eat on the go." I add, thinking about my half cold pancakes awaiting me in the kitchen. My mouth waters just at the thought of them.
(Your dirty minds thought wrong. These are just normal pancakes. Or are they? *wiggles Colin's eyebrows*)
"Alright see you then!" I say as I hang up the phone and drop it on my bed. I look around my room as I think over the last month. Things were certainly diffrent before the accident.
Colin is now almost all the way recovered from his accident. He still takes drugs for the pain but he can now walk without someone helping him. When we first started talking again, it started out awkward at first but as time progress we started to build our friendship back.
I smile sadly as I open my suitcase to start packing. Comic Con is one of my favorite conventons to go to and I had a feeling that this one was going to be just as exiting.
I grab a random shirt from the hanger and start to fold it, its soft fabric tickling my fingers. It has a familiar feel to it. Looking down, my eyes widen as I hold up the shirt.
A navy blue blouse,
The one I wore the night Colin and I kissed. Or more like the day I got rejected.I suddenly drop the shirt, trying to free myself from the memories.
I find myself doing this more and more, anytime I see something that reminds me of that night, a pain forms in me.Am I not good enough for him? No. it can't be that. Maybe he just wants to be friends?!
He was never mine, but losing him broke my heart.
I sigh. When did men start to get complicated?

"Bye sweetie." I say as I give Helen a quick kiss, and grab my bags.
"Stay safe! We'll miss you!" She says, lifting up Evan from his baby seat. She grabs his hand and makes him wave goodbye to me.
I laugh and lean in to kiss his forehead.
Evan giggles in response, clapping his hands together.
I laugh again, and finally walk out the door.
Comic Con here I come.

I look up and read the sign hanging from the ceiling.
Flight 12.
Its big red letters glare at me from up above. Around me people are bustling all about, pulling suitcases behind them. Some have suits on, their phone in their hand 24/7. Others are families with kids looking around, facisnated by every sight. But something is missing.Colin should be here...
I look around, and search for him. After a few minutes of scanning people's faces, I give up and sit on a bench near the sign. After a few minutes of scrolling through my phone, I feel the bench creak against someone's weight as a man sits next to me, but I don't look up.
"What's the news, Morrison?" I hear him say with a deep voice, brushing his warm shoulder against mine.
A giant smile forms on my face as I look up and look eyes with Colin. Those eyes sparkle as he smiles at me, making them crinkle up.
