1. Human Prince , Fae Princess

I could hear the clock ticking. I could hear the early birds' chirp. I could hear the servants and stablehands conversing outside. I opened my eyes and stared up at the greyish white ceiling of my bedroom. And listened and stared and listened and stared.

I groaned, finally summoning the strength to sit up. Leaning on my pillows, I was just about to pull the braided rope beside my bed when Dan barged into my room.

"What did you do?" Dan sighed. "What do you mean by what did I do?" I said, scrunching up my eyebrows, it's too early for this. He paced beside the bed for some time. "I think your mother is planning something," said Dan flopping down on the armchair not far from the bed.

I raised my brows. "Isn't she always?" I shrugged. Dan looked at me pointedly.

"I think she's planning something for you," Dan accented the 'you' and sighed. "So what did you do this time?"

Before I got to answer, someone knocked at the door. "Come in," I said. Sareem came in and bowed, "My Prince, the Queen requests your presence right away."

I scrunched my eyebrows again. Like I said, it's too early for this. "Thankyou, Sareem. You may go now."

When we could no longer hear Sareem's footsteps, Dan sighed again for the third time this morning.

He stood up and said, "I told you so."

Selene

I woke up greeted by silence. The white canopy of my bed rippling from the soft wind coming from the window. I looked at the window, it's open. Nancy must've been here already then. I stared at the white plains filled with pine trees covered in snow.

I drew my hand out, calling the snow outside and they answered, coming through the window. I smiled and created some snowflakes.

Someone tsked from the door, "You better not drop them on your bed, Princess." I looked behind my shoulder and gave her my mischievous smile, "I won't, Nancy."

She shook her head and gave me a motherly smile, "Go get dressed now, young lady, you'll get fat if you stay in your bed all the time."

I feigned shock, "Fat, Nancy? I don't have fat! These are muscles, you see? Mu-scles."

"Whatever you say, my lady," said Nancy while laughing.
