Back story: Katy's parents knew Yugi's grandfather ever since they were kids, and they made sure that she knew Yugi. She has an Ancient Egyptian necklace that her mother gave her when she was 13 years old, being in their family for generations. Then, she later finds out that her necklace carries a spirit inside, like Yugi's puzzle, trapped since Ancient Egyptian times. The spirit's name is Jewel, and Jewel has known Yami during those times.
