MADISON'S CHEEKS FLUSHED as she read Jeff's comment. "Why so red?" Tony asked smugly, as they excited the car. "Nothing, just thinking. Thanks for the ride, Padilla." Madison slung her bag over her shoulder and began walking in the direction of the school.

Montgomery had an early morning baseball practice and was unable to give his sister a lift to school. The younger sibling called up her friend Tony asking for a ride to which he happily obliged.

"Madison!" The brunette looked around and smiled at the person who called her name. "Jeff, hey." She smiled. "How was practice?"

"Practice was practice. Might've been my last one though." He frowned. "What? Why? The school year just started. The season hasn't even started yet." She entered her locker combination and glanced back at Jeff, awaiting his answer. "My parents are riding coach about my grades from last semester. If i don't get my grades up to a C average then I'm off the team. That's why Clay's been tutoring me."

"I'm sorry, I know how much you love baseball. I'm sure you'll get your grades up before the season starts." Madison reassured with a smile. "Thanks, Mads. That means a lot."

"Clay!" Madison called, running after the pale teenaged boy. "Hey Madison, what's up?"

"You tutor Jeff, right?" The corners of Clay's lips turned up into a smirk at her words, fully aware that Madison already knew the answer to her own question. "Yeah, why?" He asked, tightening his grip on his backpack. "I was just wondering what days you guys have sessions."

"Any reason you were wondering that?" Clay asked, amused. "No, merely curious. So?" The brunette ran her fingers through her hair in anticipation of his answer. "Tuesdays and Thursdays." He said with a sigh. "Great. Thanks Clay." Madison said before running off in her own direction. Clay shook his head in amusement as he watched his friend skip into her classroom happily.

"So, you and Clay?" Madison said suggestively, bumping her shoulder with Hannah's. "What about us?" She asked, biting back a smile. "Is there something there?" Jessica chimed in, leaning closer to the girl as if she was giving away confidential information. "He's sweet." Hannah said shortly, letting the small smile break out on her face. "Aw!" Madison gushed, smiling at her blushing friend.

"What are we talking about, ladies?" Justin asked, taking a seat next to Madison. "How annoying you are." She replied with a smile. "Aw, I love you too, Lil Cruz." The brunette rolled her eyes and listened as the group chatted absentmindedly.

"Monty!" Madison exclaimed, catching sight of her brother. The older sibling made his way over and sat across from his sister. "Hey, what's up?" The brunette shrugged her shoulders and watched as her brother sparked up a conversation with Justin. The bell rang, signalling the end of the lunch period. "Back to reality." Madison sighed, slugging her bag over her shoulder. "Come on, girlie. Mrs. Benson awaits us." Jessica said, latching onto Madison's hand and tugging her in the direction of their classroom.

The two shared a chuckle and took their seats near the back of the class. "Hey guys!" Courtney Crimsen said, walking up to the duo. "Hi Courtney." Madison said, her smile faltering slightly. She never took a liking to the small Asian girl. She agitated the De La Cruz girl to no end.

"Is there any reason you're here?" Jessica asked, no emotion in her voice. Courtney winced put quickly recovered. "I just came to say that I saw the comments on your Instagram, Madison. You and Jeff would be the perfect couple if you want my opinion."

"Well, I don't so," Taking the hint, Courtney heaved a sigh and spun on her heel, taking a seat near the front of the classroom. "I despise that girl." Jessica said suddenly, erupting a laugh from Madison who nodded her head in agreement.
