Robin awoke to the sound of pots and pans banging in the kitchen. He smiled, realizing Regina was fixing breakfast. He rolled over to her side, squinting to see the time. 6:00am. Why did she have to wake up this early on a Sunday? Slowly, he sat up and put a tshirt on. As he walked down the stairs, he could hear her humming a light tune. Oh, how he loved to hear her voice. Three months without her felt like an eternity. Now he gets to spend the rest of his life with her, Henry, and their unborn child. He smiles at the thought, now in the kitchen and walking up behind Regina and hugging her. "Good morning, my loves." Regina immediately relaxed into his touch, almost letting the knife she had in her hand slip. She turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck and placed a chaste kiss against his lips. After a moment, Robin pulled back and put his hands on her flat stomach. "Why did you do it? If you knew you were with child?" He asked, then seeing her confused face, rephrased the question. "Why did you sacrifice yourself for me?" She looked down at the ground, too scared to see his face. He slowly put a finger under her chin, urging her to look up at him. "I couldn't live without you, and I didn't think about our child in that moment. I'm so sorry." She cried into his chest. Robin held her as she cried, not completely knowing how to deal with all of her hormones. "Its alright, my love. I was just confused, but now I understand completely. Will you marry me?" Regina immediately stopped crying, now looking up at him with eyes wide. "I know this probably isn't the right time, and I don't even have a ring, but now I know that I can't live without you and that you feel the same. So, what do you say?" Regina nodded, wrapping her arms tighter around his neck and jumping into his arms. She nodded, crying into his neck as he held her. "Let's finish making breakfast and then we can tell Henry and Roland." Regina nodded, slowly slipping from his grasp and planting her feet on the ground again.
"You're what?!" Emma exclaimed, extremely surprised by the news. "I'm engaged!" Regina said right before she was tackled onto the couch in a hug from her best friend. "This makes me so happy, you don't even know! Ooh, show me the ring!" Emma grabbed her left hand, then realized there wasn't a ring. "He hasn't bought one yet, he just asked yesterday." Regina said, slowly retracting her hand from Emma's and setting it on her stomach. "How'd he ask you?" Regina laid back on the couch, gently moving Emma off of her. "I was making breakfast for us and then he asked me why I... and then he proposed because I told him I couldn't live without him." Regina's eyes filled with tears, causing Emma to hug her again. "Do Henry and Roland know?" Regina nodded, still slightly uncomfortable showing this much affection. "I probably need a shower before your parents come over." Regina said, laughing slightly when Emma groaned and got off of her and headed to the kitchen.
"Congratulations Regina! I'm so happy for you and Robin!" Snow said, practically tackling her step mother. "Emma!" Regina glared at her friend while she hugged Snow back. "I didn't say anything!" She said, looking just as shocked. "I know because Roland told me when I was babysitting him last night." She said, laughing slightly. "Congratulations. Now, when do we get to start planning the wedding?" David asked, surprising them all. "I thought that was Mom's job." Emma said, completely surprised. David just shrugged and walked into the den with Robin. "Has he gone shopping for a ring yet?" Snow asked, full of questions. "If he has, I don't know about it." Regina simply stated and laid down on the couch. "I'm gonna take a nap, so don't do anything stupid that could damage my house." She mumbled, slowly pulling a throw over her body and slipping into a light sleep. "Pregnancy sure is hard on her." Snow said, chuckling as she sat down beside her step mother. Feeling the couch dip under more weight, Regina kicked her legs out, too tired to share the space. "Well I guess I'm not sitting as well, unless she puts her head in my lap. Which I might do." Emma said, gently shifting her friend. As soon as Emma sat down, Regina wrapped her arms around her thighs and put her head on Emma's stomach. "I guess she's a cuddler. I never would've guessed that. Robin, can you fix your fiancé?" Robin walked in and laughed when he saw the situation. "If you move her, she'll just move right back to where she was and just hug tighter." Emma just groaned in defeat, slowly sinking down more into the couch. Snow pulled out her phone, knowing Regina would kill her for this, but taking the risk anyway. "She will kill you, mom! Do you really want to do that?" Snow just giggled and snapped a picture quickly. "Maybe next time she'll be more careful of where she falls asleep."
