When Robin regained consciousness, he saw that he was laying in their bed. He sat up slowly and looked around the room for her. Had he really seen her or was this all a dream? He could hear something in the bathroom again so he went to see what it was. As he walked in, he could see her. She was back, but not fully. A ghost, maybe? How was he going to talk to her? She had said his name, but maybe that was only a one time thing. "How can I get you back fully? Is there any way or are we just going to have to talk like this for the rest of our lives?" He asked, seeing her turn to face him. She was like a hologram, making him able to see her but not touch her. "There is one way to get me back. You would have to make a deal with Zeus, though." She said, walking towards him. "Tell me what I have to do. I would do anything to feel your body against mine, to be able to touch you and kiss you, just to hold you through the night once again." He said, bringing what would be tears to her eyes. "You have to go to him in some way, maybe through a sacrifice, and negotiate how to get me back. Hades lied when he said I would fade from existence. He sent me to a realm of souls, making me able to travel back to this realm, just in ghost form. My body is probably starting to decay, so I would need a new body to be the host of." She said, seeing his eyes light up. "I made Gold preserve your body, just in hopes that I would one day be able to have you back. And now I might." She was impressed, not knowing how he managed to get Gold to do that for him. "First order of business for you is food. When was the last time you ate a real meal?" She asked, worried about his well being. "Maybe the night you..." She frowned, knowing what he didn't want to say. "Go get some food. I have to go back to the realm of souls, but I will be back tomorrow. Get Belle's help to research on how to get in contact with Zeus. She can ask Rumple for the magic that I know will be involved, and I will take care of the payment when I'm fully back. I love you." She said, fading away. "I love you, too." Robin whispered as he watched his beloved soulmate fade away. A tear streamed down his face as he left the bathroom, heading down to the kitchen to prepare a full meal like Regina had said. What time would she be back? Would she be able to come back at the time he was awake? Is the time the same in the realm of souls or is it slower or faster? So many thoughts were running through his head at the thought of his partner in the alternate realm. He picked the phone up and dialed a number. "Henry?" He asked, hoping he had gotten the right person. "Robin? How are you? Are you okay?" Emma asked, clearly worried for him. "I'm fine, but could you put Henry on? There's something I need to talk to him about." Emma sighed and handed the phone to her son. "Robin? Is everything okay?" The worry in Henry's voice made Robin shake with guilt. He had left this poor child along without any love from him. "Can you come over to the house in about half an hour?" Henry muttered a quick "yes" and hung up.
When Robin opened the door, he was met with the body of a teenage boy in his arms. Robin hugged the boy back, then quickly brought him inside the house. "There's something you need to see." Robin said, pulling him up the stairs to his bedroom. Inside Henry's old bedroom, the clothes he had left were thrown around the room, as if someone was looking for something. Henry gasped, knowing Robin wouldn't do such a thing. "What happened here?" He asked, worried a burglar might have gotten in to the house. "Regina." Robin whispered, causing Henry's eyes to widen. "She's back? I thought she was, well, ended almost a month ago." Henry paced around the room, trying to figure everything out. "She was. But being ended evidentially means traveling to a realm of souls where you can travel from that realm to this one. Your mother must have come back here searching for you, but being upset when you weren't here. I only know this because she has been here again. She stays in the bathroom when she is here, always getting my attention when she arrives by trying to get into the drawer with her lipstick. She told me to get Belle's help with research and Gold's help with the magic. Maybe Emma could help as well. They were best friends because of you." Robin said, now sitting on the edge of Henry's bed. He had seemed to comprehend it all, because he asked, "When is she coming back again?" Robin replied, telling him tomorrow sometime. Henry nodded, then put his bag down. "Well, I'll be here until she comes back. Is there any way for us to contact her?" Robin shook his head, not knowing the answer. "Belle will be able to help us on that one, but how about some food first. You look like you could eat." Henry nodded, walking down to the kitchen with the man who had grown to take him in as his own. Whether he wanted it or not, Robin was like a father to him. Even more than Killian was. Henry grabbed a box of cereal, handing it to Robin. It was Special K with red berries, Regina's favorite. Both of them started at the box for a few minutes, then continued on with their old routine. Suddenly, there was a noise in the bathroom. Both Henry and Robin rushed up the stairs, desperate to see if Regina was back already. Henry was the first to get there, yet he wasn't able to see anything. Robin caught up to him and saw Regina's petite figure. "You're back already." He whispered, not noticing Henry's bewildered expression. "Robin, she's back? Why can't I see her?" He wondered, confused as to why he couldn't see his own mother. "He can't see me, can he." Regina whispered, a lump in her throat at the thought of being completely invisible to him. "What would make him able, love? We will try anything." He whispered, trying to touch her hand but watching it ripple away when he tried. "There is nothing we can do for him to see me. Yet maybe if I could move some things around..." She trailed off, rattling her drawer in the bathroom. "Dad, is that her?" Henry asked, worried. "Yes, son. It is her." Robin wrapped his arm around Henry's shoulder, comforting him. It hadn't gone unnoticed by Regina or Robin that Henry had called him Dad, but neither said anything. "We have to get her back in her body, and soon. I can't stand around like this not being able to see her yet being in the same room." Henry said, voice full of determination. "Go call Belle and Gold. Maybe we could get her back fully by tonight." Robin said, hopeful. Henry nodded, already dialing Belle's number. "Hey, can you come to Regina's house in about ten minutes? Thanks." Robin nodded, knowing that she was on her way. Tonight he was going to have his soulmate back.
"I came as quick as I could. You can get her back?" Belle said, out of breath. "Come in here." Henry said, leading her to Regina's study. Robin had already set Regina's body on the table, ready to get her back. Her corpse was dressed in a blue silk blouse and black slacks. "All we have to do is trap her soul in her body, then wake her with true loves kiss." Gold said, walking around the table. "Are you all ready?" He asked, seeing everyone nod. Seeing Regina's spirit in the corner of the room, he used magic to pull her towards them. With the raise of his hand, purple magic flowed out, moving her spirit and trapping it in her body. Robin leaned over, knowing this had to be quick to get her back. He leaned down, touching his lips to hers in a chaste kiss, love coursing through both of them. There was a burst of magic, then a gasp. Regina's eyes fluttered open, feeling alive for the first time since she died. "You're back." Robin whispered, burying his head in the crook of her neck, wrapping his and around her, climbing on the table to be closer to her. "Mom." Henry gasped, running over to hug her. She wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Thank you." She chocked out, whispering the simple gratitude to Gold. He nodded, happy to see a family back together. Regina sat with her arms wrapped around Henry and Robin's arms wrapped around both of them. This is what happiness felt like.
