I was sitting at my desk and writing a letter to my boss when I heard a knocking on my door. I look up and I can't help but smile. It was the most beautiful person I have ever seen. She has light brown hair and blue eyes. She wore this red lipstick that made her lips even more kissable. She is also my straight best friend that I have been in love with for two years. She also doesn't know that I'm gay."What are you doing?" she asks with a sweet tone.
"I had a great idea for a show that I want to direct and I was just sending my idea to Mr. Jordan. I think this one is going to be the one. The one that gets me to the top." I say as she walks in and sits down in the chair in front of my desk.
"Really? What's it about?"
"I'm not telling. You will have to wait for it to be on Netflix or Hulu, whatever one you have. I will also be on the screen as well. I have the perfect part for me."
"Well aren't we selfish? Not saving that role for a better actor."
I looked at her and did the worst acting, on purpose, that I was upset.
"Wow, I can't believe you just said that to me. I am truly hurt. You just said that I'm not a good actor and that hurt my feelings. Like this is my dream and you aren't supporting me. That is what best friends are supposed to do. I guess you aren't my best friend or else-"
"Quit while your ahead. With that acting they won't even let you on the set to direct."
We both laugh as I reach over my desk and lightly hit her on the shoulder.
"So, what are you doing tonight? Want to go to Rusty's and drink the night away?" I ask hoping that if she did have plans that she would cancel them for me.
"Hell yeah I do. Rusty has been missing us. We have been too busy to go see him every week."
I smile and she leaves me to do my work. I am so excited for tonight.
We walk into Rusty's and sit in our usual spot at the bar.
"Yo, Rusty! You back there!" I scream as soon as we sit down.
"Is that who I think it is? Where have you guys been? I'm in debt now because you alcoholics have been to busy to come into my bar and drink." Rusty says in his Russian accent.
"Well maybe if you were cheaper us alcoholics wouldn't be so busy." I say.
He laughs and put two cups in front of us. He takes out our usual drink, Peach Schnapps.
We were about half a bottle through when I see that a guy is looking at Amy.
"Hey, check it out." I nudge her in the arm.
She looks over and waves him over. He walks over and they start talking. I take a shot of my drink and pour more in. I see the guy lean in and whisper in Amy's ear and he walks over to a table and sits down. Amy turns towards me and I already know that she is going to ask to go sit with him.
"Go, he's cute."
"Really, your not upset?"
I shake my head even though that is a lie.
"Thanks and hey, you never know, a guy might come flirt with you tonight." she says and she gets up and leaves to talk to the guy.
If only she knew the truth about me.
After about an hour and another bottle of Schnapps a girl walks up to the bar and sits down. I take a shot and put my head down.
"Long day?"
