SOOOOOOOOOO SORRY! I have no excuse. I know I'm an awful updater, thank my friends for reminding me. I'd be lost without them. Anyway here's the chapter!

~Dawn's PoV~

I woke up to a thudding pain in my head. I blinked a few times and tried to move. Key word: tried. A fiery jolt shot down my left wing, and I gasped in pain. I looked at my wing. Dried blood was caked on the feathers near where the gunshot was. My captors had some decency and at least wrapped it in a bandage. Carefully avoiding hitting my wing and I sat up.

I was in a glass container of sorts. There was cameras and a control panel in the corner. I was gawking at all the technology and wires in the room when the door slid open. A man with an eyepatch and long black trench coat walked in followed by the redhead and blonde. I scooted back into the corner as they got closer. The pirate man grinned.

"Well done agent Barton and Romanov. I see you caught it with no problems." I gulped and tried to scoot back farther.

"Actually Director Fury, she called for help." Blonde told him. The pirate man-Fury-slowly turned to him.

"What?" His tone was soft yet forceful. I shivered it sounded like the tone the priests would use when they started talking to me when I was younger.

"Yes, sir. It called out for someone named 'Chessie'." The redhead said. The man thought.

"Well did you see anyone on your way back?" He asked. They thought.

"I thought I saw a person in the woods while flying the plane here, but the radar didn't show anything." Redhead recalled.

I inwardly sighed. They didn't have Jes. Fury nodded.

"Very good, but we can't take any chances Romanov come with me, Barton stay here and try to get something out of it." He swished away followed by the redhead, Romanov, and left me with blonde, Barton.

We sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes. Barton just sat there looking at me with calculating eyes. Like I was a puzzle he was trying to figure out. Then he opened his mouth.

~Clint's PoV~

I looked at the thing in front of me. It was a girl no older than 13. She was small with long pure white hair and stunning red eyes. She also had two midnight black wings. She had on an oversized blue sweater-shirt and black leggings and brown boots. She was backed as far away as she could get from me.

She's scared. I thought. I felt a twinge of pity. If I was in her position I would be scared, but I didn't let it show and kept my face blank and emotionless. Fury said to "get something out of it." so I started.

"What's your name?" I asked. She looked at me, startled. "What's your name?" I asked again. She blinked two times and looked confused. I sighed.

"Name. Like what someone calls you. Mine is Clint." I explain. I know, probably shouldn't have told her my real name, but she's just a kid.

"D-Dawn." She stuttered she had a faint accent. I nodded in approval. It fits her. She looked at me and gulped.

"Are you going to hurt me?" Cross off the scared part. She was terrified. She must have gone through this before. No wonder she's scared. I shook my head.

"No, why would we do that?" I ask. Maybe I could get a bit of her past. Dawn looked down.

"Back in my home town the leader and priests hurt me." Her voice was barely a whisper.

"What's your home town?" I ask. Dawn shrugs.

"I don't know. Chessie says somewhere in Austria." That explains the accent.

"Who is Chessie?" Dawn gets a far off look in her eyes.

"Chessie is my guardian. She helped me when I first ran away. We're both outcasts so we get along. She protects me." She smiles like she was remembering a happy memory.

I wanted to ask more, she seemed kind and innocent. Not the monster we thought she was. But my earpiece buzzed. I clicked it.

"Yes?"

"Agent Barton please report to Fury's office. He needs to meet with you." Maria Hill's voice said.

"Alright I'll be there as soon as I can." I looked at Dawn, who was obviously confused.

"I'm sorry Dawn, but my boss needs me." She nodded.

"It's ok." As I left she called out to me. "Bye Mister Clint." I chuckled.

"Bye Dawn, I'll see you later." And smiled as I walked out. She was a sweet little girl. Not a danger to society. I liked her. But as I walked to Fury's office away from Dawn, I didn't realize that would be the last time I saw her for a long time.
