Chapter 15 - The Battle Begins

One week later~

Sora's POV

I'm finally feeling better enough for Soo-Won to let me go out the door. He kept worrying a lot during the past few days and kept on checking on me to see if I was alright. That made my heart feel very warm. The Soo-Won I know haven't vanished completely. He's still there, caring and looking after me. Unconsciously, a small smile started to grow on my face as I thought about how caring Soo-Won is.

"Sora?" Soo-Won called out to me. I finally came out of my daze and looked towards him. He was dressed in an outfit of a long robe and a large shimmering jewelry necklace on his neck.

"Yes?" I replied back.

"You've been smiling this whole time. What are you thinking about?" Soo-Won asked me. Immediately my face became really red. As red as Yona's hair. I kept my head down to avoid having eye contact with Soo-Won. I couldn't tell him I was thinking about him.

"Pfft. Sora is so cute. It's hard to see these reactions from you." Soo-Won said as he patted my head. I continue to keep my head down as I felt my ears becoming red too.

"Can you two stop acting so lovey-dovey? I'm supposed to be taking part in this mock battle but.... what's with this get up?" A voice suddenly interrupted us. It was General Geun-Tae. He was wearing the a more flashy outfit than Soo-Won.

They were going to take part of the mock battle that is about to happen. Outside sat many people in the audience. And all of them were ones that idolizes General Geun-Tae.

"It's the festival outfit! It's because you're the star of the festival today!" Soo-Won explained in happy tone.

"You look pretty wacky... dressed like that too, Your Majesty. You may call this a festival but we're fighting a mock battle, right?! I don't think our appearances are fit for battle!" General Geun-Tae yelled but just then Yun-Ho came in and cornered him, fangirling over how cute he is.

As they talked a bit more, it was time for the mock battle. They were all going with Soo-Won as the last one about to go out the room. I quickly grabbed the bottom of his sleeve. He stopped and turn around.

"Good luck Soo-Won!" I said with a bright smile towards him. Soo-Won nodded and turned around to leave with the others.

As they were standing in the middle of the battle field, an announcer started to explain the rules to everyone. The people on the battle field were to wear plates on the top of their heads and if they got broken, then they go to prison until their leader gives them a new plate.

After all the explanation and introduction, the crowd started cheering for General Geun-Tae. The crowd was being really loud from where I was watching. I guess they were being all hyped up.

"Then let the battle begin!"
