A black ranger over pulled into the driveway of the house opposite me. It drove into the for sale sign knocking it right over. the door slowly opened and I got a glimpse of my new neighbour. His blonde hair stood high on his head and I saw his lip ring. Tattoos covered every inch of skin causing me to stare in wonder at this magnificent body. He caught me staring and winked before unlocking the house and stepping inside. the door slammed shut and I gasped.
That was the first time I ever met Luke HemmingsA harsh knock on the door interrupted my deep train of thought. I got up and went to my door, wincing at the bitter coldness. I opened the door and winced at the sight of the snow as it fluttered down. A boy stood there, covered in white and trying to mask his face under his thick black hoodie.
"Do you have any antifreeze?" he muttered and glanced towards the black landrover opposite me.
"i , um yeah. let me, um, just er get it." I stuttered and reached for my own cars keys. Something about him enchanted me. Like I was under some sort of spell. I walked out of the house leaving the door on latch and headed for my car. I noticed he followed me, but didn't dare to catch up. I opened the car and noticed the bottle of antifreeze on the floor. I picked it up and handed it to him.
"I'll bring it back later" he muttered before disappearing across the road. He seemed cold, distant, but I couldn't help but think about him.
That was the second time and last ever timeI met Luke Hemmings.A red car pulled up in the driveway of the house opposite. Nobody ever stayed there. Not for long at least. One boy, Luke, he lasted 6 months. Many others lasted only a year, but he stayed there even less.
"Mum, I'm off" I called into the mainly vacant house. I heard footsteps and soon my mother appeared before me.
"I'll miss you sweetie, I promise I'll come up in a month" She mumbled into my shoulder and she hugged me in her warm embrace.
"Okay" I just about managed to say before she spoke again.
"And don't get into any trouble there" she said and I laughed.
"I won't"
"And don't give your father any grief, give him some time to get to know you Sam" she said and I laughed again.
"Seriously mum, I'll be fine. But I really need to go, I have a plane to catch in a couple of hours." I said and she let out a sad smile.
"I'll really miss you hunny" She muttered through her fast falling tears.
"I'll miss you to mum, but you know that England is my dream" I said and she nodded. I picked up my suitcase and gave her one final kiss
"I love you hunny"
" I love you to mum" I walked slowly out the door and place my suitcase in the car. we hugged and kissed once more before I got in the drivers seat. I reversed the car out of the drive and waved before setting off. England here I come
My mum and dad split up when I was small. My dad moved to England whilst me and my mum stayed in Australia. I saw my dead a few times over the years but we never bonded. I decided I wanted a change. I applied for a university in England and I got in. I decided to stay with my dad. I was 19 yet I barely knew him and I decided that it was time to start bonding.
The radio station flicked through the stations and I just let it. My music taste was pretty easy going. I was happy to listen to anything. Besides, the airport was only a 10 minute drive away. All I could think about the whole drive was England and university.
I still had an hour until my flight so I decided to pass the time by getting a McDonald's.
"How can I help?" a chirpy server asked
"Chicken nugget medium meal with a coke please" I replied and she gave me a big cheesy grin which I politely returned with minimum effort.
"coming right up, that'll be 5.49 please" She said and I handed her over the money.
I was handed my food and I left the counter as quickly as I could. I turned round and began to walk before knocking into a boy.
"Hey, mind out love" He said with a smile. I returned it and noticed a fresh stain on his shirt. He was holding a coffee cup in his hand and it took no time for me to realise what I had done.
"Oh my god. I am so sorry" I remarked but he only smiled.
"Its fine. Really it is" he said and I laughed a little. I placed my food on the table and sat down. As I was time expecting, and slightly hoping actually, he sat down opposite
"So where are you off to?" he asked
"In Gatwick in England, how about you" I replied and he let out a small grin
"Really, me to. Tell you what. You sit next to me on the plane and we'll forget about this whole coffee thing" he said and I nodded
"Deal, but why?"
"All the rest of these people are really quite antisocial and I do love a good gossip" He replied and I laughed
"But u don't even know your name" I tried to protest
"Calum Hood, yours?"
"Sammy Blake"
"Well Sammy Blake. You eat up your dinner and then we can get on board. I tell you what, I'm excited for England.
