Chapter 4

"Can I speak to you" A gruff voice asked. I looked up to see Luke standing there. I glanced over to Ashton who just shrugged.

"I, uh, guess so yeah" I said and looked fully at him

"Alone" He hissed and I nodded. I followed him out the room and into the hallway

"You're pretending you don't know me, why?" He asked. he said it simply enough, but I could sense some sort of emotion in his voice. The problem was, he hid it so well I didn't know what emotion it was.

"I, I mean I, um, like the way you were staring it me. I just like seemed like you didn't want me to say I knew you" I replied nervously. He sighed and removed his hand from its current place of rest. on the wall, just above my shoulder.

"A lot of shit happened in Australia. That's why I moved here. Start again. Now you show up and it just proves that I can never escape my past" He said, a lot calmer than before

"What sort of shit" I asked, his gentler tone had calmed me slightly but I was still nervous as hell talking to him.

"I did some horrid stuff to girls that I'm not proud of" He spoke quietly and his voice was full of nerves

"What kind of horrid stuff?" I asked but he shook his head

"I can't say. but trust me if I had stayed in Australia you would have been my next target" he said in a whisper. something about the way he said it sent chills down my spine

"Why me?" I asks

"You're hot. but if I had it my way, it would have ended in sex" He said. I don't know why I said it but what came next was a total surprise to both me and him

"Have sex with me then. Tick me off your list"

"I don't have a list" He said totally ignoring the first part of my sentence

"Have sex with me" I repeated

"I couldn't do that Samantha. I've changed" he insisted but I smiled

"Look all I'm saying is the offers there. nobody has to know. it could be like the film, you know, fiends with benifits" I replied and he sighed

"But were not friends" He stated

"Come to mine tonight then, or I'll come to yours. we can make friends" he nodded, maybe finally accepting my offer

"Okay, okay. we will try this little friends with benefits plan of yours but if it fails. If you get hurt, Its your fault Samantha" He saids calmly. I nodded in agreement and was

led away from him and back into the dressing room.

"You ready to go?" Ashton asked me as I appeared at his side

"Um don't worry about it Ash, I'll make my own way home" I replied and he just stared at me for a moment

"Um? okay, you sure?" He asked and I nodded my head

"Okay well I'm off, see you around Sam"

"You to Ash" By this time Calum and Michael had both also left

"just us" Luke muttered and I nodded

"Just us"

"Shall we go?"

"Yeah I'm just gonna call my dad"

I picked up the phone my dad had given me when I arrived and I dialled his number

*Hey sweetheart* he said picking up the phone

*Hey dad. I was letting you know that I'm gonna go round Luke's tonight. Turns out we know eachother from Australia and were just gonna catch up*

*Okay hun. Are you going to be home at all tonight?*

*I dunno but don't wait up. I love you dad*

*I love you to Sammy, have fun sweetie*

*I will, bye*

*bye*

I ended the call and turned to Luke.

"I'm ready" I said and he nodded

"This way" He saids leading me out to where I assume his car was

"Don't you live with Calum?" I asked suddenly remembering that they were stepbrothers

"No. I moved out last year. I have my own place now" I shut up and remained silent for the entire drive

We pulled up outside a block of flats and Luke looked at me before sighing

"We're here" he muttered and I got out the car

He led me up numerous flights until we got to apartment 13B.

"Home sweet home" He muttered as he unlocked the door.
