❌Sam x Reader (eventually)❌
This wasn't going to happen.. This so wasn't how you were going to die. You just watched your parents get killed. You were running through the backyards yelling for help. No one heard or bothered to answer the doors. You hear the snarls again and scream. You trip over your own feet and silently curse yourself and that's when the creatures on you. You scream and right as he goes to bite you someone stabs him. You open your eyes to find a man standing over you.
"Hey, you are safe now kid." He says. You look at him wide eyed. "Are you hurt?"
"I..it.. Killed m-my parents.." You whisper.
"Come on kid." He says helping you up. You stand and he takes you to a nice black car. "My names John Winchester."
"Thank you John." You say soft. "My names (y/n)."
"Well (y/n). I'm going to train you how to take care of yourself." John says.
"Are you a super hero?" You question.
"Heh, no. But I do save lives." John nods. You smile a little and he takes you to a motel. He helps you inside and that's when you see two other boys. "Dean, Sam. Wake up." The two boys wake up and spot you.
"Who is she?" The older one asks.
"Dean, this is (y/n). She's going to stay with us for awhile." John says. Dean notices the tone and nods.
"Yessir. Let's get you cleaned up." Dean says soft. He takes your hand and leads you to the small bathroom. He finds the first aid and starts to stitch up your side. Sam brings in one of his shirts and hands it to you. He smiles at you and you try to smile. The boys let you change and you look at yourself in the mirror. You were alone. You had no one.. Your parents were dead. John had left again but Dean asked if you wanted food. You shake your head and instead sit on one of the chairs the room has. Dean frowns and goes out the door. John was waiting for him. John fills him in in where he found you. Sam grabs one of his books and walks over to you.
"Do you like to read?" Sam asks soft.
"It's a love." You whisper.
"I've got a few books." Sam smiles. "Want me to read them for you?"
"I'd like that." You nod. Sam takes your hand and pulls you to the bed. He pulls the covers back and you crawl onto the bed. Sam sits there with you and opens the book. You listen to him read for what feels like hours. Your head slips to his shoulder and you fall into a troubled sleep. Dean comes back in and relaxes a little.
"She asleep Sammy?" Dean asks.
"Yes." Sam nods.
"Get some sleep little brother." Dean says turning the light off.
-two months later-
John started training you like he did with the boys. You were practically like a soldier. Dean looks out for you just as he does Sam. You handled things pretty well. Things are hard but John seems to not care. He pushes hard and you become quite successful. Hunting became your life, you became good friends with Dean and were on another level with Sam though. Sam and you had everything in common. He however didn't want to do the family business.

Sam went to Stanford leaving you behind. You heart hurt, but you and Sam kept contact. Eventually you left Dean and went to Stanford. You showed up at Sam's apartment a bloody mess. Sam gasps and pulls you inside. He stitches you up and cleans you up too. You were tired and hurting.
"(Y/n), what happened?" Sam asks soft.
"Vampire nest." You say soft.
"Where's Dean?" Sam demands.
"I told him I was coming to see you.." You sigh.
"Why would you tell him that?" Sam asks his tone getting softer.
"Because it's the truth. I'm here to see you.. I miss you, the phone calls aren't helping me. It's hard not being around you. I figured maybe.. Just maybe I could try the normal life.. With you. I want to get a job.. I'll pay rent. I'll leave if you want me to.." You say soft standing.
"God no!" Sam exclaims. "I-i mean.. Stay here with me.. I don't care about rent. I miss you a lot, I miss reading together and talking. I miss your smile."
"Then I'll stay." You nod soft. You wrap your arms around Sam and he sighs happily. He kisses the top of your head.
"Thank you for staying." Sam says soft.
"I've realized there's only one place I want to be Sam. And that's by your side with you." Sam smiles and you smile back. You stand on your tiptoes and kiss him briefly. Sam smiles against your lips.
"God I've missed you." Sam says.
"I know, now I want nothing more than to cuddle you and be close. It's not the same not having to push you to share a bed at a motel." You tease.
"Hey, I left room for you!" Sam exclaims.
"Yes enough room for me to be right up next to you." You smirk.
"That's because I like knowing you are beside me safe." Sam says soft. You stop and you look up at him.
"That's because you are my home, my safe warm home." You smile. Sam leans down and kisses you once more.
