"Kaia wake up Maci is here" My mom yelled from downstairs.  I groaned and put one of my pillows over my head to block her out.  It was Monday which mean't another full week of school again.  Spring break had just ended, hence why I didn't want to move my restless body from my comfy bed.  "Hurry up honey.  You're going to make Maci and yourself both late." I made a groaning noise again and found the energy in me to get up.  I had spent last night listening to music, and dancing around my room with Maci.  She lived right across the street from me, and just happened to be my best friend.  I ran around the room finding clothes to wear, threw some makeup on, and grabbed my books for school. "Alright I'm coming don't need to scream again." I said looking at my mother smiling. "Well I wouldn't have to scream if you had gotten up in time." My mom said giving me a hug. "Oh ill be home late tonight, feel free to stay over Maci." My mom said smiling as we walked out the door.

"I see they took the sign down from that house.  Do you know when the family is moving in?" Maci asked looking at the house.  It had been on the market for a couple years, I thought no one was going to buy it. "I have no clue.  They took the sign down a couple days ago, so maybe soon" I said to her as we walked down the block to school.  Even thought Maci and I both had cars school was only a few blocks.  We only drove when the weather was bad, or if we knew we were going to be really late.  "Oh look here comes Violet." I said waving to our other friend.

Violet was the all around good girl.  She was captain of the cheer leading squad, always got straight A's, was friendly to everyone, and she happened to be one of the most well known girls in the school.  She was tall, skinny, had blonde wavy hair, was always dating someone new each year."Hey girls how was your spring break?" She asked coming in-between the middle of us.

"Oh it was alright.  Just spent most of it at the lake with Maci.  Then spent the night drinking and sitting around the bonfire." I know what your're thinking, were too young to drink, but hey we liked to have fun.

"That sounds fun! Oh did you hear about the family that's moving into the house on your block?" Violet asked us.  Somehow she always knew everything.

"No nothing.  Wait do you know something?" Maci asked looking at Violet.

"Yes! Of course I know everything." She gushed."So the name is Peters.  I think my mom said they have four children, two of which are our age.  The other two are older.  The father travels for work, and the mother is a chef apparently." Violet said all at once.  Maci and I looked at her and laughed.  Violet talks fast when she has a lot of information to give, its' really funny. "And they'll be moving in today." Violet added as he came to the front of the school.

I couldn't wait to graduate in June. Let's get this day over with.  We climbed the steps to the double doors of the school and walked in.  Everyone ad the same looks on their faces.  Monday was always the worst, it went by so slow.  It seemed like the clock's arms never moved.  Maci and I walked to History while Violet went down the hall to Chemistry.  I didn't like History that much, probably because our teacher, Mr. Hambridge talked in monotone.  He was never excited about anything, which made the class go by really slow.  The bell rang and as the day went by I kept thinking about the new neighbors.  The last name seemed familiar to me.

"Hey Maci doesn't the name Peters seem familiar to you? You know the new neighbors Violet said was moving in." I asked catching up to her at her locker.  Just then Maci's boyfriend Mark came by and smiled.

"Hey Babe!" Mark exclaimed kissing her on the lips.

"Hey Hun." Maci said kissing him back.  I just smiled at them. They were so cute together.

"What are you two ladies talking about?" He asked leaning against the locker on the other side of Maci.

"Just about the new neighbors who are moving in on our block.  Violet said their last name was Peters, which seems familiar to me." I said looking at Mark.  He was the type of guy who knew a lot about the history of our town.  He liked that kind of stuff.
