Maci had left soon after the meeting with Luke. I was up in my room just hanging out, listening to music and finishing up my homework."Kaia come down here please. We have some company." She exclaimed as she yelled from the bottom of the stairs, like she did this morning when Maci was here. "Alright be right down." I said finishing up the last question of my homework. I put everything away and walked down the stairs. I could hear a couple of people talking.
Hmm I wonder who is over.
I walked into the living room and there he was again, sitting down on the couch, Luke. This time he had three other people with him. "Ahh Kaia there you are. Our new neighbors came to introduce themselves." My mother said and I looked over at the new neighbors who were all staring at me.
"Hi, I'm Kaia." I said smiling. The two older of the family got up and walked over to me. "Hello I'm Roland Peters and my wife Nina. Luke said he met you earlier so this is Adrian, the oldest of our children." Roland said and smiled sweetly shaking my hand. I smiled and said hello to Nina and Adrian.
Roland looked very put together as did the rest of them. He was just as tall as Luke. Had jet black hair, his eyes were green with a touch of blue to them. He seemed very built and strong. There was no sign of facial hair anywhere, except his black hair. He was wearing a white shirt with a black jacket over it, blue denim jeans and black shoes.
Nina was beautiful. She had light green eyes, her hair was light brown that stopped just below her shoulders, very slender figure. She was dressed in a simple blue dress, had white flats on , and she had a jacket that was resting on the couch which was nude.
Adrian looked like a older version of Luke, except he was slightly shorter, maybe around 5'10, he had black hair like his father. He was a little heavier than both of them, had a more muscular built than the two. He was dressed in a long sleeved black, and blue baseball t-shirt and dark blue jeans, wearing white shoes. They all had one thing in mind. They all had the same color skin tone and when I shook the dad's hand it was cold like Luke's.
"So where did you move from?" My mom asked while I moved to the couch so sit next to Luke. It was the only spot open.
Roland began talking." Well I travel a lot for work so we've been all over. We had ancestors live in this town a long time ago so we decided to come back." He smiled sweetly.
"Interesting. Oh you were telling me Luke and his twin are going to the same school as Kaia here?" My mom said.
"Oh yes. Luna is Luke's twin. She's at home still setting up her room. Maybe Kaia can show you and Luna around school tomorrow." Nina asked smiling at me. All their smiles were perfect and their teeth very white.
"I mean if they want me to I can. It's not that big of a school, but I would be happy to." I said looked at Nina and then at Luke.
"Sure that would be helpful." Luke said as he smiled at me.
"Oh honey could you go and get the food." My mom asked me after the oven went off. I nodded and excused myself before I walked into the kitchen. The family all look really similar in ways I couldn't quite figure out right now. The only things I can confirm is that Luke's hand, and his fathers were really cold when I shook them, and they have all the same skin tone. I just shook my head and moved the thought to the back of my mind. I felt someone staring at me and looked to see Luke standing there.
"I didn't even hear you come in." I said looking at him.
"Sorry." He chuckled. "I didn't want to scare you." He made his way over to me and leaned against the counter. I opened the oven and used pot holders to take the food out. It was heavier than I though and as I adjusted it between my hands I could feel it slip and start to fall onto the floor. My mom was going to kill me. In one quick movement Luke grabbed the food before it could hit the floor and placed it on the table. I was shocked.
"How did you do that. That was quick."I asked still looking at him shocked. He laughed a little." I just played a lot of sports when I was younger. I have quick reflexes." He explained and I just nodded my head."So u-um...you have a twin?" I asked him leaning against the other side of the counter. Only a few feet were between us. "Yeah her name is Luna like my mom said. She's really fun and super nice, you two will get along I feel." He said picking up a carrot off the plate and taking a bite of it.
"That's good I need another good friend that's a girl." I said looking at him. I couldn't take my eyes away from him. He was just so good looking to be real.
"Do you have any other siblings?" I asked him.
"Yes there's Luke and I, Nicola and Adrian who you've met. I'm the youngest then Luna, Nicola and Adrian." He explained to me. "Nicola can be a bit moody at times but she's alright. Just don't get on her bad side." He said looking at me.
"Honey where is the food. Bring it in here." My mom said from the living room. I had forgotten she asked me to get the food. I mentally hit myself in the head. "Yes coming sorry mom." I said and turned around to grab the pot holders and bring the food in. When I turned being the clumsy girl I am, tripped over the rug and fell right into Luke. When I fell against him, he had caught me, having his hands placed on each side of my waist. I could feel myself blushing bright red and continued to look down at our feet.
"You okay there?" He chuckled still having his hands on my waist. I nodded my head still looking down at our feet. "Yeah I'm good." I said softly and calmly trying not to freak out. He used his finger to lift up my chin so I would be looking at him. "Are you sure?" He asked again looking into my eyes. I just nodded my head slowly and stared into his eyes, not saying anything. It was like he had me under some sort of spell that made me act stupid. He chuckled and finally let go of me.
"Well good, let's get this food into the living room. Shall we?" He asked as he picked up the food for me and walked into the living room. As he left I watched him leave and just sighed to myself. Ahh Luke.
