|Chapter 2|

Riety Pov.

Opening my tired eyes, I rubbed my eyes as I sat up in the bed. Once my eyes adjusted I look at the time on the clock beside me. Last night I decided to crash at Chandler's house until morning. I know I barely know him but I just needed a place for the night and he seem to not mind. He provided hygiene supplies, clothes which was one of his shirts and boxers, food and he let me sleep in his bed while he laid on the couch. Without him I would probably been sleeping on the streets.

I pulled back the cover as I stepped to the floor he came around the corner with a plate of food he had prepared.

"Morning, how'd you sleep?"He asked sitting my plate on the stand beside me.

"Good actually. I sorta got a headache." I replied as I began to eat.

"That's good and sorry to hear that. Wish I could help but I don't have any pain medicine with me right now."

"It's alright. I just need to get home as soon as possible." I added.

He nodded. "Well soon as you finish I'll take you home."

I smiled and nodded. He returned a nice smile and walked out.

As we pulled up in front of my house i gave a small sigh.

"Everything okay?" He asked looking over at me with an concerned look.

"Yea I'm fine. Thanks again. I really appreciate it." I said with a smile just before opening the door and getting out.

"My pleasure. Maybe we'll see each other around?"

I looked back and smiled. "Sure."

Walking up the stairs, I felt a warm rush come over me. I finally took a deep breath and knocked. Few minutes later the door opened and there stood Kayla. Thank god she opened it.

"Riety where have you been?"She asked pulling me in whispering looking serious.

"Out, where's everyone?"

"They're still sleep. I was waiting for you so I could let you in."

I nodded and walked into my room. I began changing into my regular clothes so they wouldn't see i were wearing boy clothes. I put my hair up into a messy bun and looked at myself in my mirror.

"Riety, I'm scared for you."Kayla said hopping on my bed.

"And why is that?"I asked walking over and sitting next to her.

"Mom is going to be very angry."

"It'll be okay. Go get back in bed."I said hugging her then letting her go.

"Love you Riety."She smiled just before running out.

Kehlani Pov.

I opened my eyes as I sat up checking the time on my phone. I stretched as I began stepping out of bed. I began walking into the bathroom before I froze remembering Riety. I turned around and walked over to Zay and began shaking him.

"What is it?"He asked looking at me like I was crazy.

"Riety still isn't here. I'm about to go get Kayla up so you can take her to school and I can go find Riety."

"Babe she's 18 now. Plus she may be over with Faith."

"I'm going to find out."I said as I walked out. I walked down the hall and past Rusty's room glancing in and seeing her standing in front of her dresser.

"Riety, where in hell have you been?"I fired.

"I was at Faith's. Just got back."

"And you couldn't let anyone know?"

"I don't have my phone. Im sorry."I sighed as I sat on the bed.

"Damn right you're sorry. Just because you're 18 doesn't mean you start acting like you can do whatever because you're still under my roof, ain't paying anything and don't have a job."

"I said I was sorry."She said raising her voice.

"Riety, just get ready for school. We'll talk later." I said walking out into Kayla's room.

I walked in and saw she was already dressed.
